N64 Vertical Cover Thread

Both N64 cover updated.

close on Blast Corps but on the back there is a similar N64 logo as there is on the front. As seen in this one: http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=11346

Nice job though, I've been hoping for a Blast Corps cover for a while.

Hey pal, you obviously deserves some credit here. I`ve been asking for these 2 covers for a long time and you're the one who actually did them! Thanks again for that. If people are asking for alterations, its only to help creating the best model possible. BTW, if you could put the "Only For" logo on the back of the Blast Corps cover instead of the common N64 logo it would be much better. This game is and have always been totally exclusive for the N64, even in modern days, there's no port for Blast Corps to any other platform!

No need for Rayman 2, since this game is a port from PSX.

Heh, sure you can ask others for following the model. You're the one who generated this whole idea! BTW, your DK64 cover is one of the very best I`ve seen.

 Hey Dez, the covers look awesome. One last alteration I would make, is that the "Only For" logo on the back of the Blast Corps cover isn't exactlly like the other covers. The "pulled paper" effect should be closer to the N64 white square.

I don't know if I'm being specific enough. Try looking at another vertical cover and compare.

Aside from this, everything looks fine.

However, if you don't mind, I can point some alterations to be done on the OoT cover.

First, the Nintendo word on the back doesn't look so nice, its just bellow that screenshot. It would be better on the red bar, following the model.

And the OoT logo, just bellow the "Only For" logo on the back isn't nicely placed. I guess removing it would make it better.

Before reading everything i break down with your covers please keep in mind it may sound harsh but it is not intended to be so.  I care very much about the template, that it is used correctly and no corners are cut.

Please don't use other people's custom covers just in a new template. I understand its tempting because it will save you time but as we can see in this cover it can backfire.  The logo is oddly covered up and there are A LOT of inconsistencies with the template because of it.  I'm assuming this cover took less than 5min to "convert" over.  I don't even want to go into to detail about how off this cover is ... just scrap it.    (its not your cover anyway)

Just a new front cover pasted overtop of an existing cover.  If you would like n alternate version of a cover already on the site either contact the original artist and request alternate art or make your own and use it for your own personal use only.  Making that cover took a few hours ... putting new front artwork take only 1min.

I would suggest adding a faded yellow-orange image for the back instead of the solid yellow.  Same thing for the spine only with a green-green image.  I think it would look better to have the text / logo on the spine organized the same way as it is on the retail box instead of all the text in one straight line.

I didn't even notice that most of his stuff was just conversions of covers already on site. Shows how much attention I pay, certainly explains the weird issues with the OOT cover.
