N64 Vertical Cover Thread

well, i figured since no one has any that were already made, i might download this GIMP program i've heard so much about and try to make some myself

here's a preview of the no mercy one i came up with. good? terrible? had to do some improvising on the back. i dunno if i'm super happy with that, but whatayagonnado

I can't determine quality from my iPod, but As far as the cover goes all it needs is the "only for" stamp on the back of ute cover

well on the original cover from the cover project, turok rage wars wasn't nintendo only.

I would recommend making the back text larger. The top banner should have the Nintendo64 logo in all white (not white & blue).  The bottom banner you have all the icons visable, you only need the 4 player icon and memory card visable. I can't really check quality because the image has been resized but looks pretty good, nice first cover

I have no idea how to do anything in paint.net. I would just recommend downloading a trial for Photoshop ... its only for 30 days but maybe thats long enough for you to knock out a few covers.  If you do a permanent uninstall and remove all traces that you had the trial you can repeat the trial over and over

Hello all! Been a fan of this site since way back when and have been wanting to start contributing for soooo long!! LOVE the vertical N64 covers you came up with, shenske - but it seems like they haven't really taken off in the way I'd been hoping. So, I'm thinking of doing a few of them myself!

My question: Shenske, on the N64 template, I can't seem to figure out how to make the ESRB box a few more lines - does that make sense? Is there an easy way to do so?

Also, it seems tough to find a corresponding image big enough for the yellow back cover... any tips?

I appreciate everybod's hard, hard work! Here's hoping we can get the vertical N64 template to be the standard cover for our beloved N64 games!
