Howdy Ya'll...

I was recently gifted a PS4 for my Birthday and my Brother gave me his extra controller (so I can have one charging while using the other). Trouble is that that particular controller had the rubber on the thumb-sticks worn pretty much completely away.  I figured it wouldn't be a big deal and just got some caps/covers for them off eBay.  Maybe I bought the wrong ones (got ones with little skulls on them) or something...

They feel really nice against the finger and aren't bulky, which I really like.  Sadly they aren't super snug and thus slide around a bit, so there's a little loss of control in some instances where one needs precise or quick maneuvers.  Has anyone else experienced this and could you share any tips on how I might be able to remedy it?  Any way I can get the caps to stop sliding around or should I just get some new thumb-sticks (and if so, which ones are good)?

Doing some google research on my own, but wanted to see if anyone here has had experience with it or tips to share.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

:)

Thanks!  Been reading horror stories of folks who changed the sticks and such...   Didn't know if they were just being overly picky or if things actually did go wrong, so I wanted to see if anyone had experience here.

I'll grab a set of those and give 'em a shot.

These are the covers I was talking about before...

Really like how they feel, but I think they were designed to cover over the already existing rubbery covering in original sticks and since that was gone on the controller already, they slid against the bare plastic.

I tried covers first.  Not good.  Kept popping off at inoportune moments.  Bought some cheap replacement sticks on eBay, and swapped them out - left stick lasted about 6 months.  Bought some slightly more expensive ones, and they are going great.  Got some orange ones for a black pad, and some blue ones for a red pad.

Any chance you got a link to the colored ones that are working well for you?

The Ebay seller was console-gamer-gear based in the uk.  I just checked and they don’t have any listed at the moment.  I’m sure they are all pretty similar to be honest.
