Hi, I want to show images in the forums (for example covers), but I can't seem to figure it out. Am I not supposed to click "Additional Options...", add the image as an attachment and then insert the file name in between the "image brackets"

For example (using () instead of [] so you can see it):

(img)test.png(/img)

And yes, I've double-checked that the image is less than 128 KB. Is it the file type? I'm using PNG.

I'm probably just missing something...

Where is your images hosted? You need full path to your image.

Oh, so I can't add an image directly from my PC, it has to be added from an url, like dropbox?

If you are using Mediafire just choose more options and select the image size.
After that just post the forum embed code as is (not adding anything to it).
This creates image that can be clicked to download the original image.

Or post the code and delete everything outside the [ IMG ] tags (leave the tags).
This results unclicable image that just shows the preview.
This is good if you just want to show something.

Yep and changing the preview image size after posting is easy too:
You just have to change one number.
The forum embed code has part that says Xg.jpg[/img] where X is number between 1 and 8.
That number determines the size of the preview image.
Just change that number after posting to change the size of the preview.
1 is 32 by 32 pixels.
8 is 1280 by 800 pixels.
