After watching first episode of the Orville I thought OK, Star Trek clone with over the top comedy.
After watching second episode of the Orville I thought not bad, not good.
After watching third episode of the Orville I thought this is getting interesting if they tackle social issues already and do it this well.
After watching fourth episode of the Orville I thought this is going to be great serie.

Episode by episode they seem to tone down the stupid comedy while keeping the funny comedy and still being serious enough.
I'd say way better start than Star Trek the Next Generation had and I don't have say how good that turned out to be.

Speaking of Star Trek:
After 2 episodes (or one long cut in two) Star Trek Discovery I think not that strong start.
Why the **** Klingons had to be redesigned yet again so drasticly and make them that stupid looking.
Well I hope it gets better.

I seriously hope the Orville gets many many more seasons and stays what Star Trek should be.

I'm loving The Orville. The music and camera work have reminded me of 90's Star Trek on a number of occasions. FOX hates awesome space shows but they love Seth MacFarlane so who knows if it'll make it.

The new klingons look like Uruk Hai from the Lord of the Rings movies, it's weird.

I'm liking it so far. I'd prefer more comedy over sociopolitical agenda, but that's just me.

I'm having trouble with Orville. I feel that it's a series that is figure out what it wants to be. More of a sci-fi series or more of a comedy series and not doing a very good job at either one. I'm eager to see where the series takes us.

Having said this, Fox being Fox, the show will most likelly cancel the before the first season is over.
If you have nothing to do... Don't do it here!

^. As a huge sci-fi guy I was skeptical about The Orville even though I'm a fan of MacFarlane.  But surprisingly I LOVE this show!  The writing, characters, music, and etc are very good. It's like Star Trek TNG with more humor.

Conversely the new Star Trek is s**t.  They've killed Star Trek with these new movies and this new TV show pisses on that grave.
