All but 2 of them are from this site, but I've changed the spines so that they're all under one spinal dress code (except 7 of them, which I gave orange spines, signifying that they never got NTSC-U releases). Should I upload them, or would that be plagerism?

Hmmm... If there are only slightly changes to the spine(liker a different color) and the artwork on the whole cover is the same I suppose you can save your bandwith... The two which are unique on the other hand would be nice....

If they're all uniform, just throw them in a .zip file and post them on something like mediafire. Then upload the two original covers here. Kinda pointless to upload all those covers if it's just spine changes...well, maybe to me

Yeah, I kinda find it just as easy to change spines on my own. Sometimes I'll even swap the backs and fronts on covers if I happen to like the front of cover A but prefer the back of cover B.

But yeah, I'd think anyone with the template could do this themselves.

Okay, I just wasn't sure 'cause while I figured it might just be a huge waste of bandwidth, I also figured it might be useful to lazy people, of which there are tons of on the internet. Plus I didn't figure many people are so insane as I as to actually sit down and convert fan-made game covers for an hour.

So, I have new ones for Guilty Gear X and Space Channel 5: Part 2; the former came from a guy on the Racketboy forums, the latter from some guy I've never even talked to on the Snesorama forums. Whose name should I put as the author?

IMO if you didn't make the cover don't upload it. Also, I am a member of snesorama too, the covers you are reffering to are not 300dpi, they are 96 if I remember correctly.

Jup I agree with shenske... Why upload others people work? If htey want it on our site they should upload it themselves.... We had/have problems too with people on other sites using custom covers from users on our site without their permission and to say it politely they are not happy about it....

Mkay, well that's absolutely fine. That's precisely why I asked before posting the covers up.

Sorry if I wasted you guys' time here; wish I could help out more because I've benefitted immensely from this site, but know nothing about Photoshop.

You should ask them to join this community...  I t might inspire those artists to make even more covers for other platforms and then grow the cover database.
