Resizing Covers for Shadowfox SNES/N64 cases?

Hey all, I'm new to the forum and UGC/cover printing in general. I was hoping for some help, as I just ordered quite a few cases from shadowfox, and after printing my own cover I see it's not the right size, and is a bit bigger than the case, which I'm assuming is because of the size difference from the regular UGC. I usually prefer the retail type cover over the vertical ones, but I'm not too picky about it. I was just wondering if there's any way to easily resize them to be able to print without editing too much? The first thing I would suggest is to find the templates for these cases that are scattered around the forum, print a couple, and see which fit you prefer, as there are a couple variations on the dimensions and some are a tighter fit than others.

The "right" way is probably to rebuild the cover from cleaned scans of the original retail covers using your preferred template, but that's a lot of work. If you've tried it, you'll know you can't just resize the whole image to match the CGC dimensions. The absolute easiest way to make everything fit would be to split a UGC cover into three separate images: front, back, and spine. You can then scale each section to fit the corresponding of the CGC template. You'll end up with a bit of aspect ratio distortion, especially on the spine, but nothing too terrible.

I started doing a few resizing for SNES and N64 games. I found I liked the dimensions 3431x2100.

The SNES ones are usually easy because most of the cases are plain black backgrounds. You need to widen the spine section and re center the game and company logo. Usually pretty simple. I just moved the front cover to my final dimensions and widened the spine.

N64 covers are a different story. The spines need to be redone and there's usually unique art on the spine. Some you can just stretch out to meet the overall size but others can be more difficult. You also might want to repaste some the N64 logo in the bottom because it can be noticable if stretched out. The difference in size is only 1/8" so the stretching isn't that noticeable on the artwork. I've done Mario Tennis, Mario Golf, Golden eye 007, and NFL Blitz 2001. I posted my Mario Golf on this board if you want to try it out for dimensions. I'd love to get some feedback on it.
