Still the same. Doesn't bother me though, I don't ever need to play my digital games on someone else's system, and I hate "the cloud" anyway. If a system breaks, doesn't Nintendo always transfer your stuff for free? I wouldn't know, as none of my Nintendo systems have ever broken.
Speaking of "the cloud", I actually hate the fact they are doing a Netflix kind of thing for the Switch with classic games. I'd rather have the game offline and keep it "forever". Don't really care for any type of game or movie streaming.
That's disappointing. My Wii fell off a shelf and stopped working, and it wasn't worth sending it in for repair when just buying a new one was so much easier, and I'm not even sure they are still repairing old Wii systems anymore. I may end up getting a Switch when the price goes down and if the library continues to grow.
The whole cloud gaming thing is similar to the PS Now service on the PlayStation 4. It's a neat idea, but completely worthless if you're a collector (which describes pretty much everyone here). I joined for a month to play through the God of War series, and hated the pressure of beating the games before my subscription ran out.
Are these new Arcade Archives games only playable in the cloud or are they a digital download, or even better, on physical media?
