Hi guys,

I was staring at my shelf the other day and was annoyed at how inconsistent the ps2 Metal Gear Solid's spines were. So I decided to go ahead and create my own custom covers. They are based on the Essential Collection design, which I think is very sleek (White background, Shinkawa art, Big Logo, A Hideo Kojima Game). Let me know what you guys think and if you would consider these site worthy. I tried to use the highest res sources I could find. The back info is not 100% like retail, but it's pretty close. The ps2 icons that say 1 player etc are not 100% aligned with the retail games. However, SLU numbers and barcodes are all matching retail. If you guys have any tips, let me know.

Next step is the PS3-PS4 games. MGSV in particular moved away from the standard series design and logo. I've seen some good ideas online.

EDIT: Moved to Mediafire and got the links working. Full PS1/PS2 set below!

Very nice. It'd be cool to do a version of Metal Gear Solid: Integral formatted to look like a US release to match the Substance and Subsistence covers. Might be hard to track down a large enough image of the original artwork though.

Looks good.  I really need to play through these games again some time.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Hmm, using that art for Integral might be tough for the cover because its squared off, but putting "Integral" as a subtitle should be easy.

BTW Added MGS1 and VR Missions to the original post.

Love the new additions! Would it be possible to do a version with the "VR Missions" subtitle shrunk so that it is roughly the same size as the "Sons of Liberty" and "Snake Eater" subtitles on the other covers?

While I was searching for Integral artwork I found shonasof's deviantart page, he also wanted to improve his Metal Gear Solid box art. Some pretty nice covers there as well! https://shonasof.deviantart.com/art/Metal-Gear-Solid-The-Twin-Snakes-Custom-Cover-453536440

I seem to be having issues with BB image tags...

I made the change you guys suggested and realigned some stuff on the other covers to maintain consistency.

Here's the link to the VR Missions one. https://imgbox.com/97eWYK4Y

Here's my crack at Integral. I tried your image, but it just didn't look right to me, so I found some alternate art (actually the original version of the cover image)

SKU numbers match the Japanese release on the spine. If I wanted to be ultra nitpicky I would update everything to NTSC-J, but I'm pooped.  Maybe next weekend.
