Hello all, I have a request from an ebay member that helped provide PAL scans of Ultimate Stuntman.  He pointed out that we have the PAL-B version of the Mario Bros. Classic Arcade, but we do not have the PAL-A Version.

Also I have a request. I need the cover for the original Mario Bros (not super) on the NES but the ones you have aren't what I need.

You have the US,  PAL and JAP versions but the PAL version is the PAL B box.

I am after the PAL A box released by Mattel with dual Italian and English on the front. Do you think it would be possible to source this version too?

It shouldn't be too hard to recreate this PAL-A box, one would think.

I have too much on my plate right now, but would someone be able to re-create this (or does anyone have this version to scan?)

I decided this would be a fun challenge and am working on the cover. Shenske's cleaned up cover actually needs quite a bit of work itself. There's a lot of dust still present and the back text is pretty rough, so I'm reworking pretty much the entire cover. I'll let you know how it goes!

I remade most of the "icons" for the Series.  I need to find where I put those, and I'll post it for you.  Any icon I have ever really spotted has been crappy, so figured it would be good on my off time months ago to do that.  Ill keep you posted.

I'm glad I checked this thread because I was just about to start remaking the "Arcade Series" icon!

Here's what I've got so far. Everything you see has been recreated from scratch. It was a tricky job tracking down the font for the "The Original/L'originale" text, as it's different from the US box font. After skewing and warping the image, I traced the shapes of the first few characters and then filled in the outline I'd created with black; ran that through an online font ID app and managed to find it on the list. The front artwork is almost done, just need to add the lines of motion blur around Mario. I haven't quite figured out if (how) I can recreate that or not.

I'll keep an eye out for your icons!

Hey, you're a screenshot pro, maybe you can help me. The sprites in the screenshots on the mario bros. boxes don't seem to match the actual gameplay. I don't know if I'm using the wrong version of the game or maybe the screenshots are from a different version? Should I try and reproduce the cover with accurate sprites or match the original box?

Working on your blurs.  I would have to look into the screenshots... my guess... its probably from the actual arcade game rom, and not the NES.

I just checked and yeah, the sprites do appear to be from the arcade version. Here's the updated cover progress if it helps with your blur work. (Thanks for doing that, by the way.) Everything is finished on the front cover now except for the seals, which I want to remake since the current toothed edge looks pretty rough. The back is -obviously still under heavy development.
