So... I've been using this site for quite some time now. I've noticed that a majority of the scans I need can only be found by searching in the forums or by requesting it and magically another user has a RAW scan. My question is: With all these older posts in forums that have nice scans, why are they not uploaded to the main site on the left hand side underneath their respective console? This would save a lot of people time and effort.

Scans are never hosted on the site.  Only cleaned up covers which meat meet the extremely strict guidelines will make it to the main site.

The good news is that the search engine for this site works really well.  Make sure you use things likes quotes and the & symbol to help narrow your search down.

Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

You said meat... :D

We do have raw section but currently it's unuploadable due to security, misuse, storage and bandwidth issues.
You can still access the old uploads.
It's the 5th from top link on the left bar.

Kinda wish it would be up and running again altough we do quite well without it.

It does seem like a separate resource for hosting raw scans all in one place is needed though. Too bad hosting and bandwidth aren't free :P

I've got a couple of really old IDE drives and could probably grab an old 56k modem or something. Would that handle it?

I've read several times there is a rather large backlog of scans awaiting approval and scans that need to be cleaned up before they can be added.  There are only so many people that do this and they only have so much time.
