Some of you might have noticed from my scans, I've been getting vertical lines through some of my images recently. Anyone got any ideas what might be causing them?

I've searched the interweb for ideas but apart from reinstalling everything and opening up the scanner and giving everything a good wipe with an I.P.A swab I'm out of ideas.

I'm using a Visioneer one touch 6600 and the problems have come out of the blue. I've not been playing around with anything o this is a mystery to me, is it a case of new scanner time?

Help!

Is your printer on a flat surface?

I've not done anything new with the scanner and it's always been sitting on a table next to the PC.

I thought something might be up with bulb/reflectors so opened it up and wiped every surface over but I'm still getting the same problems.

I'm just stuck to a how a perfectly good scanner can overnight get problems like this,

what happens when you print out the image? My scanner (take a look at my KOF '99 Cover) has lines, but when it prints out, it's perfect. It may just be the way the scanner scans the image.
