I read a review of the Genesis that says it's pretty terrible. At least very least, the wireless controller that comes with it is attrocious.

It does make a great "shell" for a raspberry pi though  ;).  Especially seeing that the Mini Genesis is RCA out...

Oh yeah, those things are garbage.  Nintendo doesn't produce crap like that.  Even their "budget" products like the New 2DS XL are extremely well built.

I saw on Facebook that you picked up a 2DS XL.  Any chance of getting a picture of one opened up next to a New 3DS (non XL)?  I'm curious how much bigger it looks in comparison.  I'm also curious about picture quality compared to a New 3DS (non XL).  I saw the 2DS XL at Target today and I'm just trying to decide if it's worth it to me.
