Cover printing help

Another topic that will sound like a newbie question, but no

I'm trying to print covers in Photoshop but this is happening






I'm using an HP 9800 (from my office), I have use this printer to print other covers like this one (the cover in this photos in the case where  for UGC, those photos were taken before I start modifying to CGC. That's why the spine looks of center and the inlay have a white line on the right).









But with those other cover I used another PC and another Photoshop (in other words, same printer, different laptop and photoshop). I have mess a little with the settings and the results was the 3rd photo. I have change the ink cartridges before printing those 3.

I noticed that is using more ink , the paper comes very wet of ink (seriously wet) than the one I print before my pc broke and had to change everything

What can I do to solve this problem?

If the paper is getting wet, then it's using the wrong settings for that paper.

What weight/quality is your paper? And what settings have you got set for paper type and print quality?

Sheep beat me to it, but if the paper is that wet, it sounds like the printer is trying to print on a different type of paper.  In the past I accidentally left my matte paper settings on when trying to print on glossy paper.  It was so wet, I could just about wipe the ink right off the paper, even after letting it sit for several hours.

I bought the paper as individual sheets, so i don't know the quality and weight.

This is the last setting i use (phtotos 1,2,5,6,7)

Best guess is that setting for hp premium photo paper.

Turn it to regular paper and see what the effect is.

from the first 3 photos, the 3rd one is the result of that.

I'll be honest, I didn't read any of the replies, I only read the 1st post. But just to let you know, I print using InfranView. I don't bother with Photoshop; it gives me too much trouble.

There's a box that says "center image" in one of those page setup screencaps. Click that.

Also worth noting, copy paper is always gonna look like dick when you try and pump that much ink into it. It's meat for text, and possibly some small images/graphs/charts.  All that black is sometimes too much for actual photo paper.

That's the problem, is not copy paper neither photo paper. It's the same mate paper you guys have been recommending .

I use the program taketheword recommended and is printing fine.

I try that but it doesn't print centered. i don't know why this printer depending of the quality i want this printer throws diferent position if i select "center image", if i select Fast draft it will be off center by 2 cms the front from the back (inlay). Normal draft off center by 1 cm, normal more or less 0.5 cm <----- all of this to the left. and all of this to the right -----> best 1 cm, maximum DPI 2 cms.

At the end i had to center it manually : Top 5.08, left 7.18
