I think that was when there where no quality verification, when the page was created. The sad part is that I think that it's impossible to delete that cover

Well make this thread its new home to point out TERRIBLE covers so we can make something to replace it FAST, because.... I mean... ANYTHING... is better than that

There are a bunch of covers on the main site that should be removed. I understand they are from a different time, but they cause so much confusion with new users who see these crappy old covers and don't understand why their better submissions are rejected. Of course, a clear explanation somewhere on the main page or the upload page as to what the actual requirements are for acceptable covers would be very helpful as well, but I digress. A list of covers in need of replacing would be nice, but I think just removing the bad covers and sending them to mediafire or a box account is a better solution. New users searching for a cover shouldn't find something like that Vigilante 8 one on the main site, it gives the wrong impression. And the fact that covers are not dated adds to the difficulty of sorting the quality submissions of the last few years from the mixed bag of old uploads. Just my two cents!

Unfortunately, we can't delete covers posted to the main database. If we could, we'd go on a deleting rampage. Back in 2006, when the site first started, there were no standards and it was like that for years. Luckily, we've replaced the larger volume of covers from that period. However, hundreds still remain.

Remake the cover, and submit it. And send me a personal message that it's intended to replace the old one on the site.

In general people have been using the request forum to ask for better quality or alternative covers.
So we don't really need an additional thread for that.

I had planned to make a Vigilante 8 2 cover after I finished redoing the cover for the first Vigilante 8. But if you've got the time, by all means take the reigns. I've got a million other covers on my to do list!

Plain English..  The request thread is NOT a place where people point out that "hey this cover is REALLY bad and collectively we can fix that"... The request forum is an endless pit of requests of cover variations for ones people cannot find, mainly with people not providing raw scans and then complaining why no one is helping.  Not people saying "hey... this cover on thecoverproject... its... REALLY bad... can someone make me a new one?".  What I am saying is "can we please fix this so people stop complaining that we have strict quality standards now and find covers like this and complain that their MS Paint cover was never accepted.
