Black to match the Genesis sounds good to me! How about the sleeve? Would it be textured to match?

this may make me the devil but is the tab made in a way that would be hard to cut off? I could live with it if needed but I think I would go ahead and xacto the tab off on the ones I buy, just makes it look cleaner in my mind but thats just me lol

I did this with megadrive and mastersystem cases as a kid, and now I regret it.

The tabs wont be that hard to slice off with an xacto knife And I've had a few guys do this with thier Genesis cases already so I figured there would be guys wanting to do the same with the Game Gear.

I decided to go with the hanging tabs to give the case a more SEGA feel. I absolutely love the fact that the Gameboy cases match the DS cases, and that the NES/SNES/N64 cases match the theme of the Gameboy cases. Keeping the theme in the collection "family". And I'm doing the same thing with the SEGA set.

Haha, RIGHT! Actually, when I pull off the SEGA Long Boxes I'm thinking about making a set of orange insert trays for the to accommodate the Dreamcast.

Just got an email with the following info in it about this case:

The SEGA GAME GEAR Game Case! (SGG)

The SEGA Game Gear game case has really been a blast designing. We built it around the same foundations as the SEGA Genesis case. So this little beauty looks and feels just like you would expect it to if this case's début was in the 1990's.
A few notable points about this case (Q&A's)
The SGG cases will be released in Black for blank cases and case+cover sales.
We will be adding a CustomGameCases exclusive color (Purple) to our Game Gear case+cover collection on the site once we launch them.
These cases will be able to house the Standard Game Gear carts as well as the CodeMaster carts! 
The case's dimensions will be 15.6cm X 12cm X 2.1cm meaning that the height and depth will be the same as the original cardboard boxes, the thickness (spine) will be around 3/4th the thickness of the original cardboard box. Giving this case a slightly slimmer look and feel!
The case's aesthetics can't be overlooked! From the booklet clips, to the smooth/textured transitions inside the case, to the textured artwork sleeve, all the way to the hanging clip! This case screams SEGA!
 
 
We will be announcing pre-orders for the Game Gear case once we have confirmed the phyical sample is built correctly and has no flaws. (In the design or otherwise)
