Has anyone seen these? I HATE the NES art for the Mega Man games (especially 1 and 2). I found this on deviant art. I wonder if the guy made 300dpi full size versions of these. Does anyone on TCP have anything like this?:

If not those, then what about these:

The first pic above is basically what Capcom uses as the "official" English box art for the game selection in Mega Man Legacy. It also has a whole bunch of cool art in the museum sections. Textless art, Famicom boxes and carts, even the original ugly US and PAL art. I only have the 3DS version of MML, but I assume it's in the other console versions as well. Its probably not 300/600dpi, but I'd love to have it extracted from the game anyway. Anyone know if it's been done/ possible?

Those deviant art covers are using scans from the Mega Man 20th Anniversary Art Book. I've only got a digital copy that isn't high enough quality to use for covers, but if you or someone else has a copy of the book and scans the images, then a cover could be made. Here are a couple example pages with artwork from the book.

Thanks. Looks like a pretty cool book. I'll have to pick it up.

Capcom has since released an updated version in English called Mega Man: Official Complete Works for the 25th anniversary. But it looks like it's now out of print so it's actually cheaper just to buy MM25: Mega Man & Mega Man X Official Complete Works, which is still being printed.

Have you seen thecpoc's custom matching NES covers? They don't use the Famicom art but they still look damn good: http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?topic=368.msg22192#msg22192

And if you do end up buying the art book, by all means make some scans, because I'd love to see those covers in the deviant art link remade as full size UGC or CGC covers. It looks like the artist made those as mini boxes, maybe 3/4 the height of a normal NES box. I thought about contacting him, but looking at his page, it looks like he's unwilling to share full versions of his art for fear of it being sold on eBay. Oh well, can't blame him.

Yeah, from what I just read, it looks like Rockman 20th came out first. It covered RM and RMX. The English version split it into MM and MMX editions. For the 25th, it's the same book plus more, mainly MM9 and 10. This time the English version is just one book. Looks like thats the one to get.

Those covers are nice too. Looks like they use the PS1 Rockman Complete Works covers.

Yeah, I'd love to make scans. I did contact the artist, but don't know if I'll hear back.
