So I'm my very slow escapade of trying to add games to my NES Classic, I've found some games just will not work. So far, (as best as my memory serves me) the ones I cannot get to work are:

Not booting
Batman Return of the Joker
Bible Adventures
Bible Buffet
Deadly Towers
Final Fantasy 7

Glitchy:
Battletoads (runs glitchy and acts like it's in slow mo mode.)
Mega Man 4 is a little glitchy on the stage select screen but plays fine
Mega Man 5 same as 4

Fixed:
Final Fantasy 3 (finally found an English rom that worked)

Anyone else having problems like this that they have overcome?

Edited to show my current problem games.

I do realize these are all mainly mapping problems. I just figured if they originally worked in the first place, they should still work now.

Any games which use the light gun don't work (e.g. Duck Hunt, SMB/Duck Hunt, SMB/Duck Hunt/Track Meet).

I'm guessing questionable ROMs for the likes of FF3 and SMB2 (JP). Those should run just fine. I can't see why MM4/5 would be problematic either, aside from bad roms. I'll check on mine today for those issues.

Ahhh, so you came over to the darkside, eh? =)

I hear you can manually patch games yourself to remove the mapper error.  But I personally have not had time to do so.

Look for Classicnesmods on reddit. There are ways to get almost every game working 100%. You need to install RetroArch and other modules (emulators) to get everything working. For some games you have to useva different NES emu. You can even play other systems and MAME also! I have the arcade DK on mine. I replaced all my 30 games with different versions or even the roms from the unit itself reinstalled again, just so Incoukd get rid of the ALL CAPS names for some games and to replace stuff like the Canadian StarTropics cover on from the offical Classic NES.

if you guys find a Super Mario Bros 2 (Japan) that works, let me know, as the one I have doesnt =\

I would love to find the ips patch someone made that duplicates Bunny Boy's retrozone cart, but for now, the actual fds rom works just fine on it, without any special hacks/ patches or anything. Yeah, fds games work. Not sure how you change sides on a dual sided disk, if you can. However Lost Levels is only one side.

I think he was referring to the "dark side" as modding your Mini.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."
