I'm not defending Nintendo here, but if you look at their sales numbers for BotW, the Switch, and the Classic, Nintendo is actually servicing a LOT of customers. I would assume that they are afraid to bump up their manufacturing to match consumer demand: that has proven to be fatal for many companies. So, my guess is that instead of having 2 half-ass'd (in terms of manufacturing) consoles, Nintendo is cutting their losses and focusing on their Switch. |

One thing to keep in mind is that at $60 MSRP, they really aren't making that much money, regardless of how many they are selling. Their focus really should be on the Switch. |

It's a one time sale of $60; however, the Switch has a plethora of accessories, games, VC, etc. |

It's all a matter of the cost associated with and quantity distributed for each product. |
