That reminds me, I still need to pick up a copy of Geometry Wars for PS4 but can't seem to find a retailer anywhere in town that sells it.

Didn't realise that geometry wars got a physical release.  Pretty sure we didn't get it over here.  Tdirunner, if that box isn't sealed....lol ;)

If I see another, I'll grab it. I grabbed two copies of the XBO version. So if you want that, just let me know.

I went a little overboard on the Square Enix sale.  It was a pretty good deal though.

I bought Star Fox used at a Family Video.  Unfortunately, their buy one get one half off sale had ended, but this was still pretty cheap for a first party Nintendo Wii U game.  Geometry Wars is for someone else.

Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

I'll probably get a replacement label for it. I'm not interested in long term value/resale, so it matters more to me that it looks good than it's original

Before doing that, I'd recommend a little patience, and try to find a broken copy with a decent shell. For example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Contra-Hard-Corps-Sega-Genesis-1994-defective-game-doesnt-work-/182555894330?hash=item2a812de23a:g:qxAAAOSww9xZCAYL

Actually after looking at that listing, I would be willing to guess that the pins just need to be cleaned.

Or at the very least, leave the game as is until you find a better looking copy.  If you ever find a better copy, sell the one with the bad level.

I agree with this. In my opinion, if it's a game that's going to be on display (as in the label will be fully showing), then it is likely one of your favorite or most treasured games; in that case, you invest in a nicer copy. But if it's just going to be on a shelf, then the label won't be showing, so the condition is less important. Either way, a genuine label has heart; a reproduction doesn't. The label, although worn, shows the history of the game. I don't want this to start an argument on the merits of reproduction labels, but that's just my two cents.

Guys, you're making this too complicated. Get a replacement label, put it on a replacement shell, keep old shell since it's a crime to removal a beat to snot original.  Done.

And that's why I like coming here. Never considered most of those ideas. I've only actually "replaced" one label, and it was TMNT 2 on NES, because the label had already been almost completely peeled off. You couldn't tell what the game was unless you looked at the spine.

I'll probably try to either get a 2nd shell and put the label on it, or I really like the idea of finding a 'broken' game, especially since I don't have a case for it
