Also the WiiU ver. runs at 30fps and can dip to 20ish in villages. Sometimes even just under, but all the reviews said its perfectly fine. I got the WiiU ver. because fuck buying a system at launch.

Hellz yeah!
TDIRunner:
I have the Wii U version as well (for the same reasons). I haven't really noticed any frame rate issues. However, I did notice some pop-in on some rocks. I though it was odd until I realized they were actually enemies. I just thought it was funny because that will probably now be a tell for those guys.
really enjoying it so far. Just got my first horse.
Too Beaucoup:
Pretty sure I've read reviews of the Switch version dipping too. That's what you get with last gen tech.
ClayYTOfficial:
I have both copies and to be honest, the negatives that apply to the Wii U version are also there in the Switch version.
If all you have is a Wii U and looking to play this amazing Zelda game, the Wii U version is definitely not a bad option. The game **does not** make use of the gamepad for things like inventory or maps, which kind of sucks, and the resolution is lower, but it's not enough to make it "unplayable."
FPS does drop, but it happens in both versions, especially the Switch in TV mode.
All in all, the Wii U version is perfectly fine. Just expect slightly longer loads times coming from a disc. But nowhere near the length of load time as Mighty Number 9 for Wii U.

I like the hints that are listed during the load times. I sometimes wished the load times were a little longer so I could read a few more. I'm about 15 hours in and I'm still getting new hints.
