Wow, never been the first to post in a monthly pickup thread.

Anyway, the DSi collection is 100% complete. Time for a new display case I guess :P

I am loving the Offer Up ap.  At least in San Diego, I find it yields much better stuff than craigslist.

Anyhoo...I was pretty skeptical about making another big purchase any time soon (since I just spent a few hundred on a huge lot of Genesis games) but I saw this ad selling a Supaboy, Kirby's Dream Course CIB, an SNES everdrive, Megaman and Mega Man 2.  All for $250.

My initial thoughts were "eh" especially when I noticed the everdrive was the cheap Chinese version.  Yes, it works, but it's nothing special.

But then I realized Megaman and Megaman 2 werent in the pictures.  It had two SNES games there, but I couldn't read the labels.  On a whim I assumed they were Mega Man X and X2, so I decided to buy it.  At the meet I found I was right - they were the X games.  Only the guy made a typo...it wasn't 2 (X2), it was X3!  I must have mentioned this out loud, that it was 3, not 2, because he apologized and said he'd take $10 off for the mistake.  I told him I didn't care, but he insisted.  So, trying to conceal my enthusiasm, I forked over $240 for the lot.  After a little cleaning, everything works great.  The supaboy is even modified so that the d-pad works (a problem with the design of the system, the d pad is useless)

and thanks!  On to the DSi XL/LL.  3 more for it, including one that I am having a seriously difficult time locating at all, let alone for a good price :-\

Offerup absolutely BLOWS in the Cleveland area, at least last I checked which was like 6 months ago.  Maybe I should check on that again...

I live in Central KY, and Offer Up is pretty terrible here too. I find that LetGo usually has a better selection. Though, Facebook Market usually has the best selection of anything.

Do newer Gamestop stickers come off easier? Or are they just as crappy as the older ones?

From my experience, they come off super easy now.  The only problem is that 99% of the time, there is an older sticker underneath that is a bitch to get off.

If you are getting a new game, they will probably come right off with no trouble at all.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Sweet thanks. I've been avoiding my Gamestop's pre-owned games for fear of those dreadful PS2-era stickers.

Any sticker will come off with Goo Gone and Rubbing Alchohol. Take the cover out, lay it flat and just put enough on there to soak into the sticker and let it sit. Rinse/Repeat until it's gone. When it's done, you won't be able to see. In fact, the general dirt/wear on the plastic itself bothers me far more than any sticker anymore. (except for those metallic/hologram stickers they use for the "official NFL/NBA licensed" stickers they put on sports games. Those are the devil.

I am familiar with removing them, I just hate doing it  :D.

Never even seen one of those.

And MAN, Half Price Books was good to me today. But I have officially spent too much money in the last week on games.
