It seems all of the images are built using sRGB color modes. I just bought a Canon MF624 color laser printer because I was sick of going to Staples a few times a week to get them printed and figured I could save time/money over the long run by just doing it myself. No matter what combination of settings I use, however, the color accuracy is not coming out right. Reds look pinky and blues look too deep or purple.

I use GIMP to edit and fix the covers before printing them. Is there anything I can do to get the colors more accurately reproduced? I bought a ream of Hammermill 28lb - 100 bright color laser paper for this purpose and the paper seems to be very high quality.

Printer model: Canon MF624cw
Firmware version: unknown
Connection: (USB, network wired or wirelessly connected): wireless
Current OS: Windows 10 Pro x64
Is the problem happening for one or multiple users: just personal, myself
Is the problem happening for one or multiple applications: all (Paint, GIMP, etc.)
Error message description: no error message, colors are just not accurate
Screenshot of error message: N/A
What steps you have already tried: Different color modes, different gamma, adjust color profile manually, different darkness/contrast values.

It depends on a great many things.  One thing to check is whether or not you're allowing the printer to choose the colors, or the software.  Monitor calibration is a must as well.  If you've got a cheapie monitor, then don't expect to EVER get it to match up consistently, if at all.
