Production of WiiU hardware stopped in November and every piece of hardware destined for the U.S. Has already been shipped.  So whatever WiiU hardware is on shelves right now is it. There are no more coming. Ever.

I feel like the WiiU is the Nintendo console that people will look back on and say "why wasn't I buying these games when they were still available?!"

I stole this from Facebook.

Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Bwahahahahaha!

Basically, you can't win. They could offer it for free, and people would find a reason to complain.

Exactly,  there will be always a reason for someone to complain.

As I mention before,  price looks good for me. i'm not worry about not having backward compatibility, as I mention a long time ago, i like to play each game on there respective console. Paying for the second controller, all consoles comes with just one controller you have to buy the second one separately.

I think that the only last gen game they are putting out is Mario kart 8. Zelda will be launch for the switch and Wii U at the same time (so, it's not a last gen game).

 8) ;D ;) keep calm and enjoy the switch

I'm glad Bomberman is back for sure  ;D, considering that since 2009 he's just been on phones and the 3DS game got canned, I thought he was gone for good!

^^^ definitely. Even if the third party offerings are sort of weak (I love bomberman and SF2, but we all know those are far from AAA titles), it's good to see that they're at least on board and trying to get something out ASAP to show that. Hopefully the support continues to grow. That's definitely been the biggest weakness of any Nintendo home console since the N64.

I'm so happy with the Switch and all the news about the hardware and games in the current lineup. =) I hope I can afford one until next Holidays ^^'

This exactly. It picked up a bit on the Gamecube because of SEGA but it's been overall weak until now. Hopefully third parties are realizing that there's a lot of potential behind the hardware. (EXTREMELY longshot here but deep down I'm hoping Capcom does SOMETHING with Mega Man. He got so much love from Nintendo in Smash and so much hype from players that maybe they'll take a chance and see that we want more classic Mega Man!)

I do think the Switch looks good and I hope they design a good OS for it. I really REALLY can't stand some of the modern consoles OS. Especially the PS4. It's just a mess. I don't like that I have a bunch of pre installed apps that I cannot delete like Playroom, Playstation Now, Music, yards yada.
If it could be more like the 3DS or PS Vita, I would be cool with that.
What are you looking at? You think baby's don't like video games? THEN YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT BABIES!!

This may be one of the best ads for Nintendo I have seen in a long time...for parental controls, no less.

You are so right that it's a bit scary. Retailers aren't selling them online anymore. Seems like they just dissappeared.. on ebgames (canadian game stop) Wii U links are gone and you have Switch links. Because of the hardware nature, I would like to get a backup system, but nobody is selling them for cheap.

I'm willing to bet it'll be clean and simple like the Wii & WiiU. After all, they are making a dedicated game machine, and not some bloated silly "entertainment hub" like Sony and Microsoft.  The Xbox One interface makes me want to scream.  It's like the OS comes with viruses and the entire GUI is made up of pop-up windows.

I'm with ya on the pre-installed crap. I hate that my phone is the same way. I had to make a folder labeled "junk" for all the damned widgets that I NEVER use, since Apple deemed them too important to be wiped from memory >:(

I had been waiting for a price drop on the Wii U for a long time, and decided to finally bite the bullet when I had a chance to get a new one for 20% off.  I continued to tell myself that I might pick up a spare if I ever saw one for cheap, but honestly, I'm not sure that will ever happen.
