Whatevs!  I love my WiiU :)
As do I, but I do consider it upgraded version of Wii.
I ignore my Wii and do all Wii and WiU stuff on WiiU.

Wii I only use when I wabt to play GameCube games with Component, as I don't know where my GameCube Component cable is.

And GameCube I only use when I play GB/GBC/GBA games.
Or when I will finally  play Mario Kart Double Dash in LAN mode...

[Redacted due to full opinion change]

I thought for a while and have changed my mind completely! Sorry if my original comment gave off bad vibes. All-in-all, now that I've had a while to think about it I'm back to being super excited for the Switch!  ;D

I'm kinda glad the deluxe Zelda Bundle is not TO interesting, because I'll probably never get one for retail.

I'm optimistic but waiting for the dust to settle a little. Looks cool and has a solid launch lineup.

The titles do look solid, but Bomberman and Zelda look like the only 2 I'll grab close to launch.

For me, I see the price good. Of If you think that you don't have to buy console and handheld separately,  you have 2 in 1 for the price of 1. As I imagine is like buying a Wii U at $300 and then buying a 3ds for $170, you're getting both for the price of 1

Quite solid indeed! Just the launch titles (+announced ones) are more than enough for me to play until the next console. I have little time to play, and Zelda probably has a nice replay value. Add a handfull of Dragon Quest RPGs on top of that and I'm good for quite a while!

Honestly, I'm a bit perplexed. I love the design of the Switch and the whole thing was absolutely amazing when it was first announced, I planned on waiting outside of a store to buy this thing (I've never done this before)!.. Now though, I think I might wait a bit. The price tag of the console wasn't so bad at first, I expected a pack-in game to tide a user over after spending $300. Then there was no pack-in. Then there were $80 controllers. I might wait for a bundle or something now. I LOVE the hardware and trust Nintendo just as much as when I bought my 3DS at launch, but between the total cost of the console with games and the lack of games at launch I might have to think. I WILL be getting one, I just don't know when.

2 controllers.  You get 2 for $80.

But it would take 4 controllers to play 2-Player ARMS. I think of the Joycons as one controller that splits.

I feel the same way. I had plans of going to GameStop early on Friday to preorder it because I have a feeling it's going to be hard to find at launch but after watching the presentation I was not very impressed. Zelda looks amazing but I can get it the same day on my Wii U. I'm sure I'll get it eventually because I usually get every system within a year of launch and Nintendo always makes great games (Mario looks great too!)

But the Joy Cons can be bought individually, so when you are talking about buying them, you still need to indicate if you are talking about the Joy Con set, or each individual one.

^^^ this.

1 = $50
2 = $80

Just wait for the pro controller then, or whatever they're gonna call it.

Sorry about that. I guess I meant the set since I said $80. I didn't know that they could be purchased separately until now.

When you boil it down, the price for the controllers is pretty much the same as most other modern controllers.

Each has its own battery, motion control doohickey, and so on.  Fewer buttons than the competition, but the extra cost surely comes from the motion controls, which the Xbox and PS4 are lacking.

I didn't bother ordering a second set of controllers, as the only game I'm getting at launch is Zelda.  I'm sure 1-2 Switch will be in bargain nine within 3-4 months, so I'll get it and more controllers then :P

Actually a set of 2 Joy Cons should probably be considered to be a good deal since you have two batteries, and two sets of, whatever is used to communicate with the system.  That's a lot of extra cost, and it's still priced similar to a PS4/Xbox controller.

But to me it doesn't matter that much.  I rarely have other people at my house, so I don't really need extra controllers.  Whenever I buy one, I will get a pro controller for it because that will be the only controller I use (assuming I'm playing a game that it's compatible with).  I've only had my Wii U since December, but I've only used the Game Pad twice.  Fortunately, all of the games I've played so far are compatible with the Pro Controller, so I've just been using that.

Speaking of the pro controller, what are the odds that the Wii U Pro controller will be compatible with the Switch?

Also, I was in GameStop today, and a few of us were talking about the Switch. While I was there, one of the employees was looking at the Wii U in their system and noticed and GameStop now lists it as discontinued with no replacement sku. He actually had to take down the Wii U box that sits up on the shelf with the price tag. I guess it isn't much of a surprise, but I still figured it would last a little big longer. Most systems continue to be sold for at least a year after the next system comes out. On the bright side, he let me have the box because he was just going to throw it out anyway. So I've got that going for me, which is nice.
