January 2017 PickUps - Fill in the new year!
Hesch:
Well I guess I had to make a first post sooner or later.
Just picked up one of these for $20 today. If anyone else has one, can you confirm something for me? The plug on it only has 7/9 pins. Wondering if that's by design, or if I just picked up something that's damaged....
OH, and I finally found someone selling a Wavebird receiver, that didn't want an insane price for. Finally replacing my 1 missing receiver. HAPPY. Now to find a good platinum wavebird to give me 4...

SNES and NES controllers only use 5 of their 7 contacts. Those extra pins are likely reserved for special peripherals. That is just a normal controller, just an unusual design ;)
Hesch:
I checked a couple of normal PSX controllers and they were both 9/9. Just had me concerned. I'll know in a couple of hours when I finally get home at least

The pickups are the binder and the 4 pocket photo sheets. I've decided that this is the best Game Gear display solution I can come up with. GG games come in plastic cases (like Gameboy games), but as my collection has grown to over 50 games, stacking those cases became a burden as it's hard to keep any order or find a specific game. This way, I can flip through my games to easily find what I want to play.
There's no real casing solution for large GG collections. While there are some covers here, they account for a very small percentage of total GG games, so even if I cased some of the more popular ones, I'd still need a secondary display method for the rest.
