Hi, I just registered here because I figured it was time to stop throwing all my Gameboy games in a big pile and put them in some cases.

I'm looking around for pre-made game cases that I don't need to modify or anything.  Custom Game Cases seems to be the predominant place offering them, but I really, really hate their cheap-looking logo on the inside of every case.

Are there any other options out there?  Some of the sites selling pre-printed cases have pictures up showing cases that look like CGC's, but without the logo.  For example gamecaseking.com has a couple pictures like this: http://nebula.wsimg.com/obj/QjMxQUJBOUJFODlENTA2QTgwOTk6NmI1OTEyMGEzZTkxMWYyOGJlOWJmMzQxYzZmMWZjOGE6Ojo6OjA=.  I believe I've seen them on ebay and other places too.

Are these just clever photoshops, or is there another source where I can get Gameboy cases that don't have a logo inside them?

Thanks in advance everyone!

Hey there,

Yes, I have done a few runs without my logo on the cases, but this was mainly at the beginning and only for re-sellers who were willing to do 3,000-5,000 cases at one time.  ;)

Aside from modifying no. There is no other options.

You were cool with throwing them in a pile for a long time but you aren't ok with the logo on the inside of a case that you will only see for 3 seconds when opening and closing the case? Kinda ironic...
Anyway, Shadowfox (the maker of Custom Game Cases) sought our insight as to what these cases should be like. And if I'm not mistaken, that picture was actually one of his promo/test cases and that's why there is no logo that is out of sight of being displayed.

So if you want nice cases you don't have to modify, CGCs is THE way to go.

I have some, I actually need more. And I'm glad to display his cases logo and all.
What are you looking at? You think baby's don't like video games? THEN YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT BABIES!!

CGCs all the way, there is no other suitable option. We only modified the DS cases in the beginning as there was no alternate and out of desperation we used those cases because ... they worked.

As palmer6strings said you only see the logo for a few seconds when opening the case as they are not visible from the outside (what you will see 99% of the time on the shelf). If you have a manual it will cover a majority if not all (depending on your manual for the game) of the internal logo.

If you want 'original' Game Boy cases without any non-Nintendo branding, why not just use these?

First off, thanks for all the replies guys.

I am not outright opposed in any way to the logos being on the cases.  I simply thought there were some available that didn't have them, which I would prefer.  These cases from Shadowfox definitely look like a much, much better option for GB/GBC than anything else available.  If the price for that is a logo on the inside with a weird font, that's fair- in the end they look overall much better than a cut up DS case.

Keep in mind that I don't have the perspective of a community member for this.  I'm totally an outsider looking in, and I completely understand the frustration there.  I didn't struggle for years with cutting up old DS cases (though I did modify some to fit GBA manuals).  I'm just looking around new to it all and seeing that I could maybe get them without what I viewed as just a company logo- which it is, but again, I don't have the perspective of seeing a community member step up and make them.  The appreciation isn't there; sorry for that.

Logos it is!  Thanks all.
