| Need Some Advice On An HDMI Switch |
| (1/1) |
| Quazimoto:
Howdy Ya'll... Hopping someone here might be able to help me out. Seems I've done run out of input ports on my TV (why do they only put 2 on there?) and need some advice. Does anyone know a good HDMI Switch? Need something reliable, preferably automatic (or remote) switching, and not too ungodly expensive (under $100 would be very nice). Looking to hook up the following... - Cable STB - Blu-Ray Player - PS3 (possibly PS4 in the near-ish future) I'd very much appreciate if anyone could point me in the right direction. Thanks In Advance. And a Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate it. |

I have two HDMI switchers. One is the Psyclone HDMI selector, which I'm a big fan of (I own 5 total, one for HDMI and 4 for component/composite/s-video). These are excellent since they have a display that can be customized to say anything up to 8 characters. They also come with a remote. The only downside is that they are somewhat large and they are not auto switching. Top right in the picture. The other HDMI switch I have is the following: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IBQRZ16/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This one is automatic and does not require a power supply. In the event that it does not switch to the source you want, it has a button to manually select which input you want. It's super small and easy to hide out of the way so you don't see it. I use it for my PS3 and PS TV (with one extra port for my PS4 when I get it. It works perfectly, and so far has always correctly selected the component that I turn on. It's also compatible with 3D, and 4K which means it should work with just about anything HDMI. I would recommend it for your situation. |

Thanks so much for the info. I actually really like the look of the Psyclone units, but they seem kinda hard to find. Think I'll grab on of those second selectors you mentioned and give it a go until I can afford something a little higher end. |
