Our second son was born on November 18th at 8:27 AM.  We are proud to welcome Benjamin into the world.  He is very healthy and doing great.

Fortunately, my wife is doing well now, but we had a scary 48 hours.  She had internal bleeding after her c-section and required a second surgery in the same day to fix it.  She spent 2 nights in the ICU, one of which with a tube down her throat.  She is back in OB now and we are hoping to go home tomorrow.  When things were starting to go down hill, the doctor called a code and told me that I could stay in the room, but that it was going to get very busy real soon.  60 seconds later, there were about 20 people in the room all working on my wife.  That was probably the scariest part.  But it's past us now and hopefully it's all good from here.

A cousin of mine and a close friend both had babies on the same day and another friend had a baby on Saturday.  I thought it was a funny coincidence, until I realized that Valentine's Day was pretty much exactly 9 months prior, so there you go.  :P
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Thanks everyone.  We are home today.  Baby and Mom are both doing great.

Congratulations, TDIRunner! I'm so happy for you and your wife. Get your son started on retro gaming when he grows up. I'm so thankful it's you and your wife having a baby and not me. I don't want to get married or have children. I wouldn't have so much free time to make covers, play video games, travel the world, and/or do a lot of cycling if I was married with children. I'm best as an uncle. I have three nephews and one niece.
