Thanks but that's XE not 400/800 games. Or am I missing something? I thought XE was different from Atari 400/800 carts?
Thanks again.

The 400/800 and the XE are technically the same system really, some of the XE carts will even run just fine on an 800 (even fewer on the 400 without a RAM expansion though).

Ok .. but the box art is different from what I can tell.. The box art for the XE carts has XE at the top right corner and the 400/800 has the 400/800 on the top right corner. Thanks for the information though.

The XE was basically a consolized Atari 8-bit machine.  Most, if not all of the games should have been interchangeable.  While the box art may be a little different, you are probably only looking at interchanging the spines.  You could probably take Sheep's designs and come up with a unique 400/800 spine and just swap them out.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Yeah i know a lot of the games are interchangeable.... The spine art is really different... I just dont think I personally have the know how to try and tackle something like that.. But I guess I could give it a shot... thanks a lot.

I have an Atari 800 and an Atari 800XL. Personally, I'd be fine with XE art on all my Atari 8-bit PC games because that would mean that any XE games I acquire would fit right in. Also, well, they DO run on the Atari XE, so it's not misleading. Because "Atari 8-bit" isn't really a good platform descriptor, XE makes a lot more sense.

I gave up trying to find cover art for the Atari computers.  There's the original large black boxes, then the silver rainbow brand small boxes, and finally the xe covers.  An ATARI xe can play 901% of the 400/800 range. I use the xe look to make them all uniform.  Sheep made some great xe covers, I use his template, and get the art from the 5200 or 2600 sections of the cover project.  For example I use the 5200 version of Pac-man cover art, take out the art and cut and paste it onto the Sheep XE art.  The only other option for 400/800 cover art is to look on google images.

It might help if you ask around AtariAge, not many other people here are into the Atari 8-bit line so you'd have much better luck over there.
