In no way is any cover perfect. Even with a perfect scan, they have to be adjusted to fit different Box/Case types. Arguments have broken out on the forums over changes and adjustments made to covers and such because everyone has their own opinions. The great thing is that we're a site of assets. Almost every cover I print, I make adjustments to, to fit my own tastes. If there's an OCD side of you, change the covers to fit your tastes; like everyone else. If you don't know how, learn; like everyone else. Our forums and youtube and google have plenty of information on editing software.

I appreciate the response. You are right -- no cover is perfect. Like I said, I do know how, but I don't have the time. Nevertheless, I'd say this is settled.

Of course you have time. You have enough time to download covers. You have enough time to examine and critique our covers. You had enough time to make an enormous post your thoughts on our covers. You choose not to learn.

Just my opinion, not trying to get mad on any body. There where more than 700 Covers to be remade, little time to do it. He clearly change and increase quality of the majority of them, and that's a lot of work. I really like the Covers and Spine to look as close as possible to the original one, I'm in the process of changing all shenske CGC cover to a Retail look. I have noticed in some of them what you are mentioning, but instead of posting those problems as you did I just change them and continue on with the other Covers. In some cases I have post or told shenske that something is wrong with colors or other things and he change them, but those are minor things. Remember that his Covers are custom and is valid not to have them with all the original things as the retail one. ;)

Just in case you want check the Covers I have modified, here's the link. :P

You are obviously too ignorant to read what I have posted 4 times. I have lots of experience and know full-well how to correct them, but I do not have time to peruse 700+ covers in order to make corrections.

I have been following your project, and I just purchased some of the Red River Premium Matte. I will also be purchasing a Canon Inkjet in the next few days most likely. I will probably just toss all of the current covers I have and reprint your modified set. Also PM'd you with a question. Thanks for your courteous reply.

Really dude? You're the one calling someone else ignorant? All the complaining so far and you could have already corrected 200 covers by now...
If you're too damn busy to do it yourself, don't expect others to fix your stupid OCD moments.

Why the hostility? Simply put, calling someone ignorant is not nice. We are friendly here  ::)

I have lots of experience and know full-well how to correct them, but I do not have time to peruse 700+ covers in order to make corrections.

I did not have time to make the 750+ covers in the first place. I sacrificed my time for the greater good and just about everyone is very happy with them. If you are unhappy with the work i have done for free then you are within your rights to adjust them yourself. You seem driven enough to make a list of imperfections vs retail boxes, I recommend you use that drive and 'lots of experience' to make the time and make the adjustments you seek.

You did make it a point to express your gratitude for the work I have put in and I appreciate that. On the other hand, making demands that I "addressed immediately!" the retail box imperfections your pointed out is quite frankly insulting. My passion project, that I was kind enough to share with the rest of the world free of charge, was never intended to be a complete retail box recreation and I never claimed it would be. My overall goal was to improve the quality of the covers that were already created, attempt to create the remaining covers to have a complete set, and have the line up in a uniform manor. In order to maintain that uniformity extremely small sacrifices had to made (trademark logo vs registered trademark logo on blackbox covers, recreating a logo in a portrait orientation so it would fit better on the spine).

I'm not seeking an apology so there is no need for one.

Once again, I thank you for this. As you certainly know going through ~750+ covers a few mistakes are bound to slip through. I appreciate you assisting me in the NES cover project and love what you are doing with the retail set (I know I don't have the energy to go through all of that .... AGAIN, lol).

AND YES, very valid point. I am making custom covers, there is no claim that they are retail box recreations.

As a quick life lesson, stating that you "mean no disrespect" doesn't give you permission to insult people.  If I walked up to someone and said, "You're an ass hole, but no disrespect" there isn't a single person here how wouldn't be insulted by it.

Providing feedback or requests for changes is welcome here, but immediate demands for things that are provided free of charge is usually frowned upon.

First, I would like to say that I have been on The Cover Project a lot, but have never had a reason to post.

Also, this line really irks me.  Never had a reason to post, like to say thanks for all the covers you got for free from people doing this in their spare time.  Instead your ONLY reason to post has been to make a complaint about the hundreds of covers you got for free?  Seriously.......... ::)
In response to this specifically. I have only used this site for reference and information. until about a week ago, I had never used a single cover from TCP (never had a need). So although I completely understand your point, I haven't actually had a valid reason to post.

The cover is blue! I knew it...  And the turtles masks on the NES game WERE all RED!  If you never used a single cover, the hell were you using the site for for the reference and information.

Nope, says we are a bunch of cuntbags on his status thing though. I'm pretty sure anyone with a decent head on their shoulders would realize how much a dumbass he is for even stating what he has been saying.

This is how it sounds to me. "Hey even though I've got no idea how a car works, and even though you fixed it for me for FREE, I'm not satisfied with it and think you should fix it again for me for FREE. That wire right there should be moved 3 millimeters left and be down an inch.that shines dohicky that I have no idea what it does shouldn't be there. Remove it completely. Yada yada. Herp derp..."
