So I have two big interests, Sports and Games.  I bought a house a few years ago and have slowly been chipping away at things, and recently got started on the basement.

Has potential right?

Looking better (floor looks better anyway)

Bluwood.  Stop the mold.  Note the 26 Ethernet drops I also installed.

Slap up some walls and floors.  This is where the retro gaming will happen.

And the 50" Panasonic Plasma.  Nothing older than a dreamcast gets hooked up to this.

And the systems waiting to be hooked up.

My cased up Cart games & Sega CD:

And the newer games:

That's it for now, hopefully will have more when it's complete.

Looks nice!  I've never heard of that Bluwood stuff.  Sounds useful, to say the least.

I haven't heard of it either.

Is Bluwood to lumbar as green board is to drywall?
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Looking good so far! :)

Is Bluwood to lumbar as green board is to drywall?

Sorta.

It typically goes Standard Lumber -> Bluwood -> Pink Wood.

Bluwood is moister/mold resistant. Pink Wood adds fire resistance (it will still burn, just takes longer to do so).

Um, he explains its use in his original post, so I was capable of forming an opinion about its usefulness.

Its a Canadian product, but id imagine something similar is available in the USA.  A bit more expensive than pressure treated, but safe and non toxic for use indoors.  Not super common, but for a few extra hundred bucks, why not?

"A few hundred extra bucks"? What does that mean? Paycheck to paycheck over here. I have to save for a while just to get ONE hundred bucks. Must be nice....

Considering the cost of finishing a basement, even on your own, a few hundred extra dollars isn't that much (I'm assuming he meant a few extra hundred in total).

Exactly.  When we're talking about several thousand dollars to get everything finished, a few hundred dollars is not much relatively.

Finally got around to getting more of my systems up, and took a few newer pictures.

1. The disc-based (and n64) systems hooked up to my Panasonic Plasma.
From left to right, top to bottom:
PS3, Yamaha Receiver (AV switch is behind it), Gamecube
PS4 and Wii U, PS2, Wii, Dreamcast, N64
Xbox 360, Xbox One, Sega Saturn

2. Disc games and spare controllers for Gamecube, N64 and Dreamcast.  Still gotta figure out a good way to store them.

3. Older consoles on the CRT TV.  I have a bunch of crap on this right now, but on the very top is my Master System, below it a Colecovision.
Bottom shelf is a NES and Atari 2600 4-switch, Right side is Sega Genesis w/ CD and 32x and Super Nintendo.  Not set up right now is my Panasonic 3DO FX-10

4. Panned out view of my cased up carts.

5. Top half: NES, 32x, SNES, N64, Game Gear & Gameboy

6. Bottom Half: Colecovision (loose), Sega Genesis, Atari 2600 Master System and loose A2600 carts on the bottom.

Do you have any problems with flooding in your basement there?

I had slight seepage from water draining against my foundation, but I've regraded and got new eavestroughs and downspouts so no problems in a couple years now.
