I'll need a few tips to provide some Raw Covers that can be fixed up and uploaded to this site for anyone to use I need the following tips answered below.

  • What DPI I should use?
  • .Png or .Jepg?

That's all I can list for tips to be answered

I can just upload raw scans and have no knowledge to clean up scans like most covers makes a little shine as it matte like shine to them.

P.S - I'm still hoping I can nab that Championship Bowling Case for my copy soon once money comes in the 30th of September (due to a weekend)

Most prefer 600 DPI and jpeg is fine.  Also use the "Descreen" option but nothing else.  Also, depending on scanner, you might want to place the cover away from the edges because some scanners cut off edges if placed up against them.

Ours is a printer and scanner in one it has descreen option and it's on general and there's other options as well it's an Epson WF(WorkForce)-3620

  • Newspaper(85lpi)
  • Magazine(133)lpi
  • Fine Prints(175lpi)
whatever option is best I'll use!

also has a color restore feature too

See if there is a custom / advanced option and use that with all settings off except descreen.  I believe most of the guys that restore the covers do not want you to use the color restore when scanning.

Well I don't know how this Epson Workforce works it may wash out colors I've compared the cover with Color Restore as there's no difference at all might be used for old photos.
