Request: Retail Game Boy Family Zelda Titles

Hello there,
I am not sure if I'm posting this correctly but the "Please Read" thread wasn't very helpful, unfortunately. I've been wanting to get custom cases for my GB Zelda titles but the PAL versions are modelled after the PAL DS cases, which no one sells. All the custom case manufacturers sell NTSC DS cases, so the covers will not fit.
Can I please request the PAL covers modelled to fit on an NTSC DS case for the following titles:

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Game Boy)

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX (Game Boy Colour)

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages (Game Boy Colour)

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons (Game Boy Colour)

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past/Four Swords (Game Boy Advance)

The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap (Game Boy Advance)


Also, if possible, English text in the Link's Awakening titles instead of German. It would be nice if all the others had just the English text too instead of all the languages, but that's a bonus.

Not to sound condescending but, did you just read the title and posted? I added the covers that are on the site, and I said that I need the PAL covers converted into US DS case sizes. Which, no, they aren't on the site. I wouldn't be asking for it if they where. I've spent months scouring either that, of European DS cases for Game Boy games.

Again, I don't mean to sound like an asshole, it just seems that you didn't even read what I posted.

I tried to read it - but your image heavy post is pretty difficult to read on a tablet.  Was there any need to post so many images of the covers you don't want?

It reads as if you couldn't find any US covers, so I pointed you to where they were.

Still not completely clear what you want.  As you are asking for the PAL cases with only English text - is that drastically different from the US releases?

Well, the read me thread mentioned that I should include images, so I did. I have no clue how to spoiler them so they won't clutter anything, if that even is a possibility. Maybe make your read me thread clearer? I honestly have no clue what the actual rules are...

As for your post, thanks for the link for the cases, but they will be completely useless for Game Boy and Game Boy Colour games.

I'll try to repeat everything in hopes of making it clearer.

The covers posted on the site for PAL games are for PAL cases. The custom cases for Game Boy games are modelled after US cases. The PAL cases are bigger than the US cases, which means that PAL covers won't fit on US cases.

Other than that, the cover for PAL Link's Awakening and Link's Awakening DX is in German. Whilst the first one only has minor differences, the DX version is black instead of light brown, so completely different.

Since all my games are PAL, I'd like to keep all the retail covers PAL too, so nothing will stand out. Am I asking for too much?

You could include a link to the images, or the thread, or even just 1 for reference, rather than hotlinking all the images.

I know the difference in size between EU and US cases - I'm in the EU.  You said you couldn't find where to buy the EU GBA cases - I linked to a shop that sells them.  They are not completely useless for GB/GBC games, I have used them myself.

The difference in size is only about 2mm on the spine, front and rear are the same  - they can be modified VERY easily.

You are not asking too much, but I am sensing a bit of an attitude - could be a language thing, so i'm going to let it slide. So - if you would like me to modify the covers you linked so that the fit in US sized cases, I can do that for you - if you want the texts changed to English, it would be easier if the original artist did it, or provided me with the PSD's to do it.

Well, this back and forward was very confusing. I tried explaining myself a few times and I knew I'd be risking sounding like I have an attitude, but as you must know, it's hard to tell a persons true intentions exclusively via text.

I'm thankful that you're willing to do the edits. As for the English text, as you said, another way must be arranged. The English text for Europe is the exact same for US though. It shouldn't take long. I'm not sure how the DX version would be arranged since the background colour is different. I'm a complete noob in that aspect. I tried to learn how to do these things myself but failed miserably, so just gave up.

I can provide a british, retail version of my german Link's Awakening cover, later. (Only have to change the text and the two seals of quality.)

Link's Awakening DX does not have a dedicated british version. It was only released as a multi-language version in Brittian.

The same goes for the rest of the Zelda series. There are no dedicated english / british PAL versions, only mulit-language versions.

If you want to have english text only, you will have to use the US or australian versions.

I don't mind if they are mixed and matched. As long as the person doing it is willing to do it. I don't want to be too demanding.

Yes, I have recreated the backgrounds for Links Awakening, Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons.
The two GBA games (A Link to the Past and The Minish Cap) are only scans.

No - EU 3DS cases are the size of US DS cases
