^^^ what he said. Mine don't have either for that price. Hell, I don't think they even have them on clearance

I definitely don't understand how they determine what's on clearance or what the prices are.  I'll see different prices (big differences) between Target stores in my area that are only 20 minutes apart.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Picked up these three this week for around $12, all together. That's not too bad, these days, considering nothing is cheap anymore!

I once saw copies of the same movie, some on clearance, some not.  So I asked, and the guy in the red short said it had to do with inventory.  If they have way to many copies of something that isn't selling, they mark a bunch of copies to clearance in order to get rid of them.  I got X-Files season 5 on Blu for $3.98, when it was on a shelf a few aisles over for $15.  So I guess it varies by store based on what they have and how it sells.

Just had a decent pick up. There's next to no NES games in my area, it's a mix of PAL and NTSC but for $150 I grabbed:

- Super Mario Bros / Duck Hunt
- Ultimate Air Combat
- Castle of the Dragon
- Darkman
- Astyanax
- Willow
- TMNT 2 - The arcade game
- TMNT
- Double Dragon III
- RC Pro-AM
- Alien 3
- Megaman 2
- Megaman 3
- Solstice
- Hook
- Double Dribble
- Battle toads
- Rad racer II
- Qbert
- High Speed Pinball
- Mickey Mousecapade

As well as a few famicom multi-game carts and a fake famicom console. Keep in mind that's probably around $120 USD

Also, as a separate pick up, I'll make a new post. I just got these made with some labels I photoshopped up. They're currently on the way!

Paid $16 USD each which i think is pretty reasonable for a PAL repro.

My pick-ups from over the weekend.

First, here were my Target clearance finds.

Then, a fellow collector in a local Facebook collecting group alerted me to this sitting at the Goodwill in my town.  Got it for a good price but not a steal or anything.

DW 4 is a pretty damn good find for a goodwill - even if you paid a higher price.  My local goodwill used to be awesome! A block away, and usually had some good stuff...until a gamer started working there.  She doesn't buy the good stuff, so it still hits the floor, but she knows the value.  So instead of a flat fee for games, the good ones are priced at or near market value.

Same here, although I can still find a few deals.  Still, thrift stores are supposed to be about getting bargains, not paying top dollar.  I've never personally debated price with an employee, but if I did I would certainly make that point.

Some pick ups from today:
Zelda Yahtzee - $10 Clearance from Gamestop

Kirby Display - Free from Gamestop

WoN Figures - Target $3.50 each

RockBand PS3 Guitar - $8 Goodwill

1080 N64 - $3 Goodwill (Covered in Duck Tape residue)

Zapper PS2 Complete - $3 Goodwill

My friend also got a purse I found in the shape of a blue GameBoy. Nothing official, but says Game Over on the screen, it was $3.
This site has one for $88, though that seems very overpriced. http://www.accessoryaddicted.com/products/gameboy-clutch

My store just does not seem to get much gaming related stuff, and my guess is what it does get goes earlier in the day. Most of what I find is overstock from the local Target or maybe Gamestop, with the occasional retro bit. Prices are at least constant for better or for worse, with the occasional over-price.

I know awesome finds in video game stores are few and far between these days, but this makes me have hope...even if this is totally a fluke.

Went to my local game store in San Diego and found these...

Matt Hazard - $5
King's Field - $15
King's Field II - $15
MK Mythologies - $8
Vanark - $10

...most had been collecting dust and the prices likely reflect whenever they were put out.  Their PS1 games are stacked in large piles in a case, so one cannot easily peruse without reading every title.  Probably why no one else has scooped some of these up.  (King's Field was a recent trade in behind the counter and hadn't been put out yet.  The guy gave it to me for the same price as KF II).

Really excited to finally have Vanark, since it skyrocketed in price a little while ago.  And the King's Field games are old favorites of mine.

I saw that.  It looks awesome for sure, but I can't believe they offer that much physical stuff with no disc.

Sorry for uploading a lot of pics if it slows down your comp.
No games purchased... I'm not sure if this even belongs here, but I saw this trail going up a hill on Sunday and wanted to climb it.

It eventually got to steep for the shoes that were brought; will try again with more appropriate footwear.

Took a pic before heading down.

I don't think they're releasing a physical version.  But yeah, this is becoming a stupid trend.  I bought the Halo 5 big box with the statue, and there is no physical disc in there, either.

All these physical copy-free LEs just goes to show how much these guys want to move away from it altogether :(

Anyway, more goodies.
