September 2016 Pickups. SHOW US YOUR S**T!!
Bear78:
My pick-ups from over the weekend.
First, here were my Target clearance finds.
Then, a fellow collector in a local Facebook collecting group alerted me to this sitting at the Goodwill in my town. Got it for a good price but not a steal or anything.
Megatron:
DW 4 is a pretty damn good find for a goodwill - even if you paid a higher price. My local goodwill used to be awesome! A block away, and usually had some good stuff...until a gamer started working there. She doesn't buy the good stuff, so it still hits the floor, but she knows the value. So instead of a flat fee for games, the good ones are priced at or near market value.

Same here, although I can still find a few deals. Still, thrift stores are supposed to be about getting bargains, not paying top dollar. I've never personally debated price with an employee, but if I did I would certainly make that point.

Some pick ups from today:
Zelda Yahtzee - $10 Clearance from Gamestop
Kirby Display - Free from Gamestop
WoN Figures - Target $3.50 each
RockBand PS3 Guitar - $8 Goodwill
1080 N64 - $3 Goodwill (Covered in Duck Tape residue)
Zapper PS2 Complete - $3 Goodwill
My friend also got a purse I found in the shape of a blue GameBoy. Nothing official, but says Game Over on the screen, it was $3.
This site has one for $88, though that seems very overpriced. http://www.accessoryaddicted.com/products/gameboy-clutch
My store just does not seem to get much gaming related stuff, and my guess is what it does get goes earlier in the day. Most of what I find is overstock from the local Target or maybe Gamestop, with the occasional retro bit. Prices are at least constant for better or for worse, with the occasional over-price.

I know awesome finds in video game stores are few and far between these days, but this makes me have hope...even if this is totally a fluke.
Went to my local game store in San Diego and found these...
Matt Hazard - $5
King's Field - $15
King's Field II - $15
MK Mythologies - $8
Vanark - $10
...most had been collecting dust and the prices likely reflect whenever they were put out. Their PS1 games are stacked in large piles in a case, so one cannot easily peruse without reading every title. Probably why no one else has scooped some of these up. (King's Field was a recent trade in behind the counter and hadn't been put out yet. The guy gave it to me for the same price as KF II).
Really excited to finally have Vanark, since it skyrocketed in price a little while ago. And the King's Field games are old favorites of mine.
