Is it real that Nintendo will make the official presentation of the NX?

i was watching a video on youtube of this topic, that there were leak information of the NX, that will be Hybrid of handheld and console (two in one), that will use cartridges and that the official presentation will be on september.

So far everything I have heard has been rumors, but so far just about everything I've heard has been exactly what I predicted.  The only part that surprised me is the rumor of using physical media (carts) instead of discs or digital only.  But again, I don't believe Nintendo has confirmed anything yet, so who knows? 

The biggest thing that I'm waiting on is backwards compatibility, because that will have a lot to do with whether or not I pull the trigger and buy a Wii U.

I doubt there will be physical media, and no way on the planet will it be backward compatible with the U. A portable with a 5" optical drive?

There will be physical media. Nintendo has already shared this with their retail partners.

I'll believe it when I see it. After all, Microsoft said that busying and selling used XBO games would be a thing, then it totally wasn't. At all.

I've been mostly keeping out of the rumors until it's announced. But I know the dual portable/ Home system rumors.

I think there will probably be a cartage slot, like the 3DS. Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft are still married to the retail stores who want product to sell, preorders to place and traffic in their stores.

Who knows, maybe it will have a disc drive docking station or something, for Wii and Wii U games, or it will be able to run eShop downloads at the least.


At least this means both eShops will be merged into 1, more like Sony.

I really prefer it with physical media, I like to have them display, grab them to play, if I finish a game take them out of the console and get another one to play

not having a console that is just power on select from a digital library and play. Doesn't feel the same.

I think it's the opposite. They said no buying/selling used games at first, then flipped after the back lash.

They also backed away from always in internet DRM, but they "had" to take family share away.

I was talking about the initial announcement and reassurance that used games would be a thing, then it ended up being a straight-up lie when the final specs and whatnot were revealed.
