Awesome!  Thank you.   ;D
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

The two PS1 games were an online purchase from another collector and the other two were clearance games from Wal-Mart.

This little guy arrived today.  This makes flash cart number 10 in my collection (and number 11 has already been pre-ordered).

Sheep, if you see this, I might need your Lynx template to make a cover for this  ;).  All of my Lynx games are using your template.

I love seeing obscure systems getting some love!  I knew ONE person ever that's owned a Lynx.

What's interesting is that there has been a flash cart for the Lynx for a while now.  But the original one would only flash one game at a time.  There was no SD card with it.  The creator was more interested in homebrew development and an SD isn't really needed in that situation.  I almost bought one of those, but I preferred having the SD card because I'm using it just for playing games.  Once I heard about this new cart, I was super excited.  I was also lucky enough to get on the pre-order list early.  The list is pretty long now.

Also, the same guy who created this cart is also working on an SD flash cart for the Jaguar.  This is great news because the Skunkboard is pretty hard to find, very expensive, and also one game at a time (no SD card).

I got two new goodies from Japan:

Parodius Da! and Jikkyou Oshaberi Parodius: Forever With Me

XBox Live: Aaron Thedude41

Before criticizing someone, walk a mile in their shoes. Then when you do criticize them, you will be a mile away and have their shoes.

Nice!  I got all three of those on the Super Famicom.  Took me a while to get the last one though, Gokujou Parodius.  They are great shmups and some of the stuff in them are just insane.

They are excellent games, fun to play and have an off-kilter sense of humor.  I enjoy those games that picking them up was a must for me.

Picked this up yesterday from GameStop.  Apparently the LE is in high demand.  GS called me earlier in the day and asked if I was still going to pick it up (didn't have time on Tuesday) or if I didn't want it anymore because they had a lot of people asking about it.  They were going to hold it for me for a few more days either way but just wanted to check in.  When I picked it up later in the day they said they had at least 10 people call about it and even had a wait list if I didn't pick it up lol.

That's interesting about No Man's Sky.  I can't figure out what I think about it.  Granted, it's MASSIVE, but I'd want to battle other players or form a space pirate raid team, or something along those lines, but they really want it to be a solo adventure.  Everything I've seen makes it come across as 'Don't Starve 2.0'.  It just 'feels' more like a tech demo or proof of concept more than anything, imo.

I actually prefer the idea of the "solo adventure."  I love the games that make you feel alone (probably why Super Metroid was such a big deal for me).  Having the option to play other people online is nice for those who are into that sort of thing, but it's not for me.  Not to mention the fact that those types of games eventually become unplayable when the servers go down.

I've heard it's pretty much exploration / survival and you are meant to craft your own story.  I probably won't get a chance to really dig into it for a bit though as the Olympics are currently taking up the time I usually game and I want to finish Tokyo Mirage Sessions before moving on.

I've been doing both.  I'll have a game on my small tube TV while the Olympics are on my HD TV a few feet away.  Best of both worlds.  :D
