I'm planning to nab a used Game Gear from Ebay and get some games for it and I've been wondering how I can beautifully store the games in a case but I'm not sure if there's one for it there one mod I could do with a Nintendo DS case but nah not worth my time to destroy those, are they're any universal case that can fit the Game Gear with ease?

I would love to make Custom Game Gear case art so I can know what game I will be playing.

I use the custom Gameboy/GBC/GBA cases.  I went to customgamecases.com and don't see a link for them anymore though.  I took a cutting tool and cut a few pieces of plastic off the side.

UPDATE:  I took the time to actually read the page and saw this.

"NOTE #6 (06/23/2016)
The Gameboy cases will be back up on the site in 10-14 days, our latest shipment has taken a while to arrive and we are completely out of them at the moment. Both gameboy cases with and without covers will be back at that time."

The owner of customgamecases is a member of the site (Shadowfox) he is planning in a future to make a Game_Gear case. So if you are not in a hurry, probably you can wait until he make the case.

I would wait if I were you too. Shadowfox is going to make a proper case to store Game Gear games. The Game Gear cases are going to be taller than the Game Boy cases because the Game Gear manuals are taller and won't fit in a Game Boy case. Nagano3193 made a video on YouTube about putting Game Gear games in Blu-Ray cases. You can check out that video here: https://youtu.be/HmcEgzJrRwM This video will give you a better idea on how tall the Game Gear cases will be.

I agree with the other posters.  I have very few Game Gear Games.  I altered my cases out of necessity, just like I'm sure most of us altered UGCs for NES games out of necessity. Unless you're impatient, maybe wait for Shadowfox to make the Game Gear cases. However, I'm not sure where Game Gear is on his priority list after finishing Genesis, NES, (and soon SNES and N64). If his Game Gear cases are anything like his other cases, I'll definitely buy them!

I only have a few GameGear games, for which I used Nintendo DS cases for:

the 3 purple ones. This works fine without modifying if its games only, if you also want to have the manuals as well, I've seen someone (I think on YouTube) that was using Blu-ray cases to hold their games.
