Ok I think I know what amiga1200 is talking about - took a few reads.

I think he is angry about core functionality about the site. He would like a system where raw scans can be uploaded easily, catalogued, and credit given to the scanner. This would allow for a centralized place rather than having to rely on people's personal "dropbox style" accounts.

I think everyone would welcome all these types of massive changes, but I'm not sure why he's going about it shouting and ranting.

To get back on topic, we can't stop people stealing/selling on ebay/re-uploading covers. But, If EVERYONE knew this was the site to come to for covers, the market for re-uploading/selling etc would be greatly reduced. Perhaps someone who's good at writing could write up an article to submit to places like IGN and Kotaku etc, to see if they would write up a story, directing retro collectors who like pretty cases to come to this site!

All the covers I've done were ones that I scanned in myself so I have no reason to bitch about anything really. Though back when I did the Drakken cover it wasn't a week later that it was up on eBay.

So from my understanding, this topic started off as other websites practically stealing and claiming our hard work as thier own correct? But it has somehow turned into Amiiga bitching about how we don't store our own raws here too right? That his drunken rants are right and everyone else is wrong? Am I correct on all this?
