You answered your own question...they edit/post covers and moderate forums. This is a hobby, not a job.

And for the record I have only ever banned 1 person - he made personal threats.
I don't censor anyone - except spammers.
I try to be nice - treat everyone with respect, and keep the boards running smoothly. That's it. I do it because collecting and cover making is a hobby. If you just want to keep making accusations, threats, and incoherent ramblings, you can be banned number 2. Your call.
