Thanks!  $260 shipped. It was a demo unit at a dealership, so it was essentially brand new. All of the accessories and such were still sealed.  They seem to go for $400, but I just wasn't willing to spend that much. I saw this one on eBay for $260 OBO and I didn't even bother making an offer. I know at least 3 guys who are also hunting for one, so I didn't want to miss my chance ;)

My pickups for the month so far...some ps1 Capcom goodness from goodwill, albeit for goodwill prices I feel it was a bit much (never realized what marvel vs street fighter goes for...) and a zelda gamepad!!!  Gamepad cost me $55 shipped!  Im so excited to finally have it after wanting one since first seeing them.  I just couldn't justify the 125+ price tag for one

But the fun doesn't end there...

The real reason it was so cheap lol but I figure a replacement screen is cheap and the work involved was simple enough

How much do they charge at Goodwill for the PSX games? Are you in a big city? That Gamepad looks like a fun project for you.

The average price I've seen them there are typically 4-5 bucks a game...but these 2 and a few others I didn't pick up were $10.  The person pricing them must've either known the titles were popular or they check prices online and inflate certain games...not sure which :/

And yes lol, this gamepad along with my original gameboy are 2 projects I'm looking forward to to completing :D

Maybe swap the shells? Do you have another game pad?

I do have another gamepad, but I don't know how I feel about opening it to swap parts.  I've been going back and forth with it lol, but the main reason that I still haven't is that it'd just be easier to open 1 gamepad and swap in a new screen then opening up 2 gamepads.  I mean I'm still going to order a new screen so I can have 2 functioning gamepads so I can wait a bit.  (non-Zelda gamepad will probably go to the gf if/when I find a lone wii u console for cheap).

Nice little PS2 pickup through a few Nintendo Age transactions.

Also, I won my age group for the third year in a row (yes there was more than 1 person in my age group)  8)

Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

I got off eBay:

Star Fox 64 - $12

F-Zero - CIB (Hits Ver) and a UGC - $17

http://www.ebay.com/sch/zin-jo5/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=

The seller has some good prices, including a Sim City CIB for $15. I'm tempted, but I know I'd never play that over the PC versions.

Guys, I am going to apologize for the HUUUUUUUUGE incoming post.  I have been busy the last few weeks and haven't posted many of my pick ups, also went a vacation for a week and a half so there is a lot to post.  Sorry again!!!

First up is my gaming pick ups:

C&P from a fellow Gaffer and GoW from Target clearance.

All from a fellow Gaffer

Quote

Limited Run Games!  Sad I missed the PS4 one.. oh well.

Quote

Some Kirby

Quote

Pocket Card Jocky.  Best $7 I spent.

Quote

Some non gaming stuffs.

New shirts.

Quote

My Aunt made me this awesome Quilt.

Quote

New table top games to play.

Quote

Also I took a vacation and headed back to visit the family in Connecticut.  At a shit load of seafood.  I can get great seafood out here in Seattle but not Lobster, and whole belly clams, and the best New England Clam Chowder.
Quote

My parents brought me to a few good food places out there.

Quote

And this place where

where I had some bomb ass chicken & waffles.
Quote

While I was there the GF and I went up to out favorite place Cape Cod.

Oh and my car got broken into.  Best part is that it happened at work, AND I AM SECURITY THERE. They took an old HTC and an Ipod video 180 gig?  I am more pissed about the ipod as I now have to lug CDs around .  Man I want an Ipod again.

Quote

And because this post is not long enough.  Here is my friends dog who chills at the table while we played board games, also a pic of Mt. Rainer from when I took off from Seattle.

I picked up the same God of War at Target a few weeks ago.  After finding it for $4.99 at the Target near my work, I thought I would visit the other Target in the area in case they had other clearance games.  I was surprised to see they had the same game market at $7.99.  So I guess all of the stores don't mark them at the same price.  It makes me want to be more careful before jumping on a clearance price.

that sucks dude!, at least they didn't take too much, could have been A LOT worse!
on the plus side, old ipods, at least over here in jolly old England, go for dirt cheap, you can get a decent one for at least the price of a new game...

I bought a manual for my "Mike Tyson's Punch Out!" game from an Ebay seller, and I was extremely delighted when the Tyson letter was inside the booklet.  The letter usually sells for $30+ by itself.

No problem, except for this problem.

I asked the seller to ship the boxed F-Zero in a box (Ever sice receaving a GBC game cramed in a thin bubble mailer, i ask this for boxes.)

Sellers response:
Quote
Thank you for your purchase. I will combine items in shipping so everything shows up at the same time. I will also make sure to box so as to protect items.

It just came in the mail in a dam bubble mailer.  >:(

It's mostly unscathed all things considered, 3 dents and a bit of the top is mildly crushed, but it looked pristine in the listing.

Edit/ update

Quote
Yes I know, sorry. The post office ran out of the size box I would normally use. If you no longer want the game you can return it and I will issue a refund.

Eh, I'm opting to keep it. It was still sheep for a CIB, and the game itself is fine.
