I can't wait for those to go on sale, I did not back the kickstarter ^

So, the result of birthday (And other) money, I'll post pics when everything is in)

World Of Nintendo 4" Wave 1-6 Figures (Toon Link, Falco, Red Koopa, White Tanooki Mario, Red Yoshi) [Currently working on video review]
World Of Nintendo 2.5" Villager figure
Christmas Reindeer Luigi Plush
1992 SMW Cape Mario Plush
SMW 2: Yoshi's Island Keychain

Ghosts N' Goblins - NES
Adventure Island - NES
Joe & Mac - SNES
Kirby Star Stacker - GB
White GBA Box and Manual only
[$50 shipped from Reddit]

I now have 98 NES carts, and my NES I find is not working to well, so I ordered the 'Blinking Light Win' pin connector for $30 + Shipping. I got a $1 coupon from whoring a link out to Facebook. Marketing  ;D

Also looking at my collection, I have 99 PS2 games in my collection (Excluding Action Replay and crap sport titles in a closet somewhere) What should 100 be?  ;D

My system with the highest amount of Games is the Famicom, thanks to that wholesale lot I got a couple years back, 150-ish. I also have a ton of Steam games, but I don't count most of my PC games as part of my collection.

These arrived today.  My SNES/Genesis/Master System component cables.  I knew they were starting to ship out the first batches, but I figured I was still a ways out so I was surprised to get them.  Unfortunately, I won't have much time this week to test them out.  I'll let you all know what I think once I get to mess around with them.

I'm so jealous right now.  Didn't have the funds to back the kickstarter when it was active, so I'm eagerly anticipating them being available for sale.

I am sad I had not known about this kickstarter. Genesis is one of my favorite systems. I got the product page bookmarked though so hopefully going to start selling them to public soon

I'm interested to see how these actually perform.  I dread rewiring all my systems (my SNES, N64, and Genesis are currently running S-Video) but it might be worth it if they really work great.

Picked up two Sega handhelds:

Both are in original boxes (with all cardboard inserts), and have the original paperwork.  The systems are nearly flawless as well - I'm really happy with the condition.  The Game Gear is the less common (and far more reliable) Majesco re-release.

Best of all, both use the same Sega AC adapter (which I keep plugged in right next to my couch).

Maybe sometime in the future I'll get Wiggy's Nomad LED screen upgrade, but the standard screen is good for now.

I'm actually the same way.  When I backed these cables, my setup was quite different from the way it is now.  It will actually be a lot of work getting SMS, Gen and SNES to run through component under my current setup, but I think I've found a way to do it.

Like I said, I'll get some feedback out there once I have some time.  I'm hoping that since they were successful in making these cables, that they can go forward and focus on other systems.  I would love to see them reproduce the GameCube cable amongst others.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

About the HD Retrovision component cables:

Do they make a separate component cable for the Master System?  I thought there was an adapter so that the same cable could be used on both Genesis model 1's and 2's, and since Master System uses the same cable as a Genesis model 1 they should be interchangeable. I ask because I notice you have 3 cables.

Maybe you bought two of the same so you could have SMS and Genesis hooked up at the same time without having to switch cables.

When I backed, I signed up for
  SNES
Genesis model 2 (for my Genesis)
Genesis model 1 (for my Master System)

To be honest , I'm not sure what the final product was.  I vaguely remember reading that they tried to create one cable for Genesis model 1 and 2 and use an adapter, and you would get the appropriate cable/adapter to what you backed.  But I may not be remembering the details, and I haven't taken a close look at my cables yet (or even taken them out of the plastic).  At the vary least, I will try to open the packaging tonight and have a look.  Unfortunately, this has been a busy week for me, so not much time for testing and playing.

It looks like I remembered correctly.  The Genesis model 1 and model 2 cables are the same.  The end is designed for a model 2 and comes with an adapter to fit into a model 1.  Also, the Sega cable includes a 1/8" audio input for the stereo out on the Model 1 Genesis.

I'm going to order one of the Genesis cables when they're available to the public.  Glad to hear confirmation that I can use the same cable on both model 1 and 2 Genesis'.

Right now I have my model 2 hooked up with a SCART RGB cable connected to a SCART to component converter.  The picture is amazing, but the colors have to be precisely adjusted inside the converter.  When I moved it from my CRT to an LED TV, the colors were way off.  It's a pain to have to adjust the colors for different TV's.  Hopefully the direct component cable will be more consistent across different TV's.

I don't plan to get component cables for SNES yet.  I have mine connected via s-video, and the picture is really good, nearly on par with the Genesis picture through component.  With Genesis there's a bigger jump in quality to component because Genesis doesn't support s-video (unless it's physically modified). So, I went from composite to component on Genesis for a huge leap in picture quality, while I'm starting at s-video on SNES.  Of course, I'll have to get component when I want to move my SNES to an HDTV.

The GameCube cable is a whole different story.  It had a proprietary chip in the actual cable that did the work.  In my research it's been hard /not possible to reproduce that chip and most people have had to just mod the console to get the same effect.  I'm extremely lucky to actually own some official GC component cables though :P

Well, the chip in the GC component cable has already been recreated by someone, so it can be done.  And these HD Retrovision cables have chips built into them as well.  I understand they aren't necessarily doing the same work, but my thinking was that they probably have the resources to recreate the chip needed to make the GB component cable.  That's why I'm hoping that they work on the GC sometime in the future.
