Got this result twice.

And this was with non-ideal conditions:
- I haven't installed the amplyfying directional antennas to my roof yet. This result was gotten inside with the modem's own miniantenna pair with thick lumber walls (5 on the way each 8" thick at minimum) and misc crap on the shelves.
- Ping is usually 15.
- Upload speed hovers around 35 usually.

19.90 Euros per month without any data restrictions (except other users which around here is less than 10 which is nothing).

And they are planning on installing fiber internet with 1GB speed here (unknown price but is expected to be 50 or 60 month).

Mine is 10.

Internet as a whole in America is kind of a joke really. Depending on where you live you may only have one or 2 providers. And they both try to gouge the fuck out of your pocket for shitty slow service.
What are you looking at? You think baby's don't like video games? THEN YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT BABIES!!

I bought another mobile modem that has it's own battery so I can be fully independent from power if power goes out.

Ran speedtest with it.

It hit 106 momentarily... and that is without external antennas that I have not bought yet.

This is actually a bit slow for me for some reason.  I usually hit around 800.

Sweet.

I assume that is fiber connection?

They have build next town, and plan building one here too in few years (hopefully).

It is definitely fiber.  We (in Chattanooga) are supposed to have the fastest internet in the US.  I love it, although many routers are not setup to handle that kind of speed and and slowdowns confuse online technicians.

The fiber connection they are planning here has one drawback:

The install fee is 2000 Euros if you join at first wave (you can pay that over 10 years without extra costs), minimum of 5000 euros if later.
No biggie if you have house ready but I'm still on planning stage, and I'm not sure can I find suitable place to build the house fast enough (it's enough if I have the plot ready where they can have the fibre cable dug ready in waiting) they do the actual connection for free later.

Other is that they only offer router with wifi, no ethernet.

Highland, Illinois (which is only 15 minutes from me) claims to offer 1 Gbps internet speed (using fiber).  But unfortunately, that doesn't do anything for me.

Of course, that's a max speed.  I'm not sure what their realistic actual speed is.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

You can't even get home connection speeds like that around here. Not even close.

Yeah home connection speed here (thru phoneline) is 8/1 max theorical, if lucky 7/0.7 in reality AND TWICE THE PRICE.
No wonder everyone here is switching to mobile, and hopefully eventually to fibre.

AT&T has been expanding its fiber service in the U.S., but their plans are garbage and they don't have an unlimited data package.

I too finally heard more solid plans of the fiber coming to my rural area... or atleast the plans of contract for making the survey for the fiber are to be signed within few months...
They offer unlimited data only as they know that if they would offer limited data plans nobody here would buy them as unlimited packages are so cheap thanks to strong competition between carriers.
Unlimited 4G with 300/50 speed has dropped to 50 Euros a month.
