Stop trying to use the 10v adapter, and hope that nothing is fried. --- End quote --- Man, I really cannot make head nor tails of it........it only says 8w, not volts on the console and working out the conversion is like watts x amps.......but there is no amps stated. I think it all depends on the serial number as to which PSU is required and yet again I cannot find any definitive clarity on that. The guy I know who fixes ORIGINAL arcade cabs for a living had never worked on an AES before!! which is stunning really but obviously just speaks more to how few people have them. He recommended I buy a generic multi PSU adapter than is no more than 5v and 2.5amps.........which I did, and still nothing. Feel absolutely gutted right now, especially as I still dont really know whether it is buggered or not, so dont really know where to go from here given the complete lack of response from any of the Neo-geo.com people. |
| Dr.Agon:
it sounds like you've fried something using the 10v PSU, what i would suggest is; remove the top of the shell, take the mobo out and see where the power lines go to first, resistor, capacitor, something else less important etc. (as these see power first they MAY HAVE stopped anything else from getting fried) see if you can replace these, then try again with the 5v PSU, if you don't have the skills ask your friend who fixes the arcade cabs if all else fails, cry for a bit, then try something like this... http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25976 |
