Calling Any and All Neo Geo AES Console People!!

Hello all,

A bit of a hit and hope one here but I am in a rather excruciating situation right now after spending my entire youth and adult life wanting to find some way of owning an AES without spending crazy money on one (23 years its taken.....Im a patient fella! ;-) ) and I have finally managed to get hold of one recently at a convention!!!........but.....it wont power on!!  :(

So, after a 2 week wait (after getting the console and 2 sticks) for the official PSU I bought from a very reputable site (console passion.co.uk), I was devastated to find that it did not work.

There is so little information around the tinerwebs but I signed up to Neo-Geo.com thinking obviously that these guys could give me some advice but after a 3 day wait to be approved as a member, only to find I cannot create new threads or PM members'admins......so I just posted my issue in a general repair thread but a week has passed without reply.

So again, I am getting desperate now.......hence my call to the old faithful friends of the cover project!!

Any and all advice would be very much appreciated and the key really is that I am hoping and slightly suspecting from the limited amount of info I can find, that the PSU may be the wrong one.

For those of you who may be able to clarify this, here are the details of my console and PSU =

NEO GEO
MODEL No. NEO-AEC
RATING 8W
USE PRO-POW AC ADAPTER ONLY
SERIAL No 011967

And on the PSU there is =

PRO-POW-E
AC ADAPTER
INPUT 50/60Hz 38VA
110V/120V/220V/240V
OUTPUT 10V = 1A

And there is a dial on the PSU that is set to 240V right now.

Any thoughts on whether my suspicion that it is not quite right are true? or am I staring down the barrel of a blow console?  :( :( :(

My powers say UK.
More closely I won't reveal. ;)

I didn't want closer. Eu or us was all I was after, for the voltage setting on the adapter.
