So the NX will be out in just under a year.  Also it will not be at E3, which is pretty much just going to be the new Zelda focus.

Oh and the new Zelda is delayed again, until 2017.  I'm sure a launch title with NX along side the Wii U version.

Yeah and add to that no known or hinted major game from Nintendo strongly hints that as far Nintendo thinks WiiU is dead.

I think there are 3 "major" Wii U releases this year?  Its dead.  Shit the 3DS is dead with first party support.

Not annoyed by the release time. There is no way they could reveal, promote and release the system in ~ half a year.

I am annoyed that they aren't at least giving us the slightest inclination of what they system will be like at E3. Only focusing on Zelda at E3 is a bold move ... it's dangerous to go alone.

All this says to me is Nintendo NEEDS to push out the massive WiiU systems they have sitting in the warehouse AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. They don't want the NX to steal the whatever thunder the WiiU has left. I expect a sharp price drop and bundled games with the WiiU (say $200, $150 would be very aggressive/desperate).

This needs to happen, and is pretty much what I've been waiting for.  There is no reason for the Xbox One and Wii U to cost the same amount.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

They've already stated many times that the NX and WiiU aren't going to compete with each other, which would definitely help explain why they're so stubborn with the price of the WiiU. In fact, I wouldn't doubt it if they were entirely complimentary, which would only serve to help the WiiU, not hinder it.

True BUT the DS was supposed to be a third pillar of their business model and in now way was meant to replace the Gameboy. Its just a PR statement to not piss off the current adopters of their older console.

I actually believe Nintendo honestly intended to keep the three systems alive, but realized almost immediately after releasing the DS, that it was simply impossible to do (bye bye Game Boy).

NX and WiiU aren't going to compete with each other = WiiU is killed = no competing.
