For power just ebay it, same goes for video.
RGB-scart if you have scart, composite otherwise.

As for opening and cleaning: Just open it semi-carefully, it's quite sturdy so breaking it is hard. Then carefully hoover it at least, and wash the plastic parts (dry them well before reassembly).

a little web searchery may help?   :P
Code: [Select]
https://www.google.co.uk/search?client=opera&q=ams-neve&sourceid=opera&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8#q=genesis+mk+2+av+cable^^ CVBS/composite web search results. the same socket/plug is used on the saturn and multi-mega bases. (iirc, a type of early 90's camcorder too?)
Code: [Select]

mains transformer:

all the best.

Phrasing was Mega Drive, not Genesis... so I'm guessing scart is an option.  If it is not an option for whatever reason, why do you hate PinBioHazard, Arseen?  Why would you recommend composite?  Genesis composite is practically worse than RF.  If you can't do scart, go with s-video.  Composite is only a last resort on Genesis - certain systems it's definitely okay, but Genesis is not one of them.

I know composite is worse than S-video, but quick check on Wikipedia said RGB, composite and RF, no word about S-video, so I suggested composite instead of RF as usually in this case composite wins.
But maybe best option is RGB + RGB to HDMI converter?

no!
the straight forward option is, as above you stated. (R.G.B./Y.U.V./scart/peritel)
oh, i got it wrong about the saturn socket, the pin outs are the same as MD-mkII, but it's shape is slightly different, offset.
so, in the end, no. (unless you go DIY and custom?)

of course, if the tube/av in socket can't take it's beer for Y.U.V. then expensive and convoluted equipment will be required. :P
