This is why I love Amazon

TDIRunner:
So when I ordered those switched power supplies (that I was talking about in the April pickups thread), I also ordered some 1 and 2 foot extension cords for all of the a/c adapter bricks that wouldn't normally fit on the back of the power supply (think NES, SNES, Genesis a/c adapters with the fat asses). Unfortunately I didn't read very carefully when I ordered the 2 foot extension cords. It turns out that I accidentally ordered 2 foot computer cords. Since they are not what I needed, I went to Amazon to return them. They asked what the reason was for the return. I was honest and selected, "I ordered these by mistake." I did this because it was 100% my fault that I ordered the wrong part. Amazon immediately refunded my money and even said that I DID NOT have to return the item. I guess it's cheaper to let me keep the item then it is to pay for return shipping. I'm pretty impressed that Amazon didn't try to charge a restocking fee or make me pay for return shipping considering that the mistake was my fault and not theirs. In my defense, I order a lot of stuff from Amazon, and I will continue to do so due in part to the fantastic customer service. So both parties win in this situation.
With that said, does anyone here need these types of cables? Just pay for shipping and they are yours (maybe throw in a cheap video game trade if you want instead of paying for shipping). I don't really want to profit off of these cables.
Here is a link to exactly what I have.

Anyone else have any good experiences with Amazon?

Amazon is always... ALWAYS ...my go to place to place for online shopping simply because their customer service is absolutely second to none. I've never had an issues with them that wasn't resolved quickly and effectively. Only time I ever buy things elsewhere is when there's a significant price difference or I get a great deal somewhere else.

We sometimes do the same for smaller items like that. Sometimes we just send out replacements and tell the person to just keep the damaged/incorrect/etc item as well, and it's for the very reason you mentioned. Just less headache all around, and since the profit margin on the low dollar items is quite high, it doesn't break the bank.
