wiggy:
eBay = overhead

I just don't get why they do. If I can get it on ebay for the same price, I sure as hell am not going to spend any money at your store anyway. I may as well sit on my couch with my feet up and wait for it to be delivered to me. Even thrift stores and Goodwills around me are guilty of this same practice. It's ridiculous. People don't go to a Goodwill to pay ebay prices. They'd just get it on ebay and not even bother with your store!

while I agree with the Goodwill one, though the Local Store, not so much.
- They (should) clean and test every game they have in the store.
- They have to pay fair prices to get the games from trade-ins to stock the store.
- They have rent and other bills to pay for the retail store, and pay employees.
- eBay prices are, for the most part, what the game is worth. Why sell it for less?

- I've never known a stores that does. From a business perspective, it's a massive waste of time.
- Everyone has to pay for the games they sell, eBay or otherwise.
- eBay = overhead. It costs money to sell on eBay. .
- eBay prices represent the value of items on eBay, nothing more. Not to mention that eBay prices for many, MANY items are all over the place. Consistent is something which eBay prices are not.
Megatron:
Just got a sweet Craigslist pickup!
A Panasonic 3DO, with 2 wireless controllers a handful of 'meh' games (Battle Chess, some sports games, etc) and a sealed in box Stealth Arcade stick, that comes bundled with a SNES to 3DO controller adapter, all for $125!
The wireless controllers were a strong selling point, as I've never actually seen these before. They work surprisingly well for early 90s wireless tech. But THIS was the reason I pounced...I've been eyeing a SNES to 3DO converter for a while, so to find one sealed in box with an arcade stick was too sweet to pass up. The cellophane is torn, however the box is still sealed. And truth be told, it likely won't be for long.
TDIRunner:
That's an awesome find Megatron. I have the SNES to 3DO converter as well, but mine didn't come with an arcade stick. I did come with original packaging, so I guess they must have sold it separately as well.
Very jealous of those wireless controllers. :o

Check out this find!
You won't believe how much I got it for: 65.00! It's a Nintendo VS DualSystem with Gradius on one side and The Goonies on the other! It's complete, aside from the missing monitor and front glass for one side. Some of the pieces that appear to be missing like the banner parts I got as well. The games are there, and it needs a little electrical help here and there, but the wife loves it. One of my best finds so far.

Were you looking for some 3DO wireless controllers? I have some that I was about to put on Ebay, but I'll give you a better deal if you want them.
